Marjoribanks:
Many people here lack understanding of football tactics. With Benjamin in our defense, no team can score against us. No team is capable of defeating us in this tournament.
Our boys are fast, strong, and determined to close down opponents and maintain high intensity throughout the entire 90 minutes. With our attack coming into fruition, we will be a nightmare for any team.

Calling our victory today luck is only a narrow-minded perspective. Only someone ignorant of football knowledge would write that.

We struck the post first and scored the opening goal. After our goal, can you expect a team like Argentina, playing in front of 50,000 fans, with players competing in the top 5 leagues in Europe, to sit back? I fail to comprehend the thought process of some individuals on this platform.

Our goalkeeper made only one or two good saves in the entire 90 minutes, while we managed to score two world-class goals.

This team can only lose through a penalty shootout; no team in this tournament can defeat us within regular playing time.

Good job boys! Nigeria is proud of you!
Regarding your first paragraph, was Frederick in the game against Dominican Republic?

The offer on the table for Benzema from the land of the Saudis.... Okay, at his age and with all he has achieved in the game, this is an insane offer to say no to. Lol

For real? na wa o. Bameyi? The same one I've been watching? I'm tempted to concur with your opinion that it is PR cos the guy hasn't really impressed me that much except with his physicality.

Thank God Benjamin is getting his deserved spotlight.

Kudos to you doc and other like minded Nigerians for putting Jacek straight.

TheSuperNerd:
This is good but you need to see the knocks we gave Jacek Kulig on Twitter before he finally made this post.

Initially Jacek was talking up Bameyi as the best defensive talent on the Nigerian U20 team but a few others on twitter and I rubbished his assessment calling it for what it is. A dishonest poorly researched scouting work.

Jacek compared Bameyi to Cesar Azpilicueta. It was ridiculous.

We let him know that there are other far better defensive talents on this Nigerian team yet he chose to focus on Bameyi like some other scout accounts were doing coordinatively before the U20 WC started as if it was a paid PR work or something.

The man argued, finally we have been proven right.

The lesson here is don't take these scouts 100% seriously. Some of them are paid to give publicity to certain players even though they will still talk about the genuine talented ones.

On our Nigerian U20 team, we literally Schooled him into submission.

In this current flying eagles team one player who is doing a massive work both on and off the ball but doesn’t get the accolade he deserves here is Nnadi

That boy is a bundle of energy with good agility and strength to run up and down the pitch. Also he’s technical ability is only second to that of Eletu.

In my humble opinion he is one I tip to be in the super eagles set up sooner than others because to me he is ripe and will get better if he gets a move outside Bulgaria

The guy’s energy coupled with decent footballing technique and intelligence will propel him to a better league soon and to the heart of the senior team handlers

As e shock you. Na so e shock me too when I saw what Jacek and some other scouting accts were doing. But thankfully we called them out and elucidated on the true potentials of our U20 backline.

What annoyed us the most is that of all the U20 talents we have in this team, Jacek singled out just Bameyi for the spotlight. Omo, na vex we take tackle am ooo. And this was before the U20 WC started.

He is doing a fine Job, I let him know, but I also told him that he can be wrong on certain assessments especially on a player who is well known to his country's football analysts and observers who has seen him far more than he has.
No one can know a child better than his mum/guardian.

From my analyses, I literally said this...

"Nnadi is a such a pearl in the middle of this Nigerian side. He brings the energy, the intensity and that decent level of technicality in our progressive vertical plays. Call him the "Michael Essien" of this team and you won't be far from the truth. A box to box demon.
His role vs Argentina ensured that Daga didn't have to go Box-to-Box this time. Nnadi's role interpretation was key to why Daga was able to focus solely on sitting in front of the back 4 and screening that defence with Poise and class."

Ask yourself why Nnadi was picked vs Argentina in midfield and Eletu dropped.

Both are fantastic young talents but they have their merits and demerits.

the difference between both is that Nnadi presently is playing men’s football in Bulgaria while Eletu is playing primavera football in Italy.

When watching Eletu play you will accept the fact that the guy talent wise is superior to others in the team despite his young age. He’s football intelligence and technique is above others while Nnadi comes second from my observation but currently the latter tops him due to the exposure and experience of playing men’s football

Both are for the future but currently I think Nnadi is more ready. Eletu is massively talented but needs more time.

In a season or two a move out on loan to midtable serie A or serie B teams will aid he’s development

If I happen to be a scout representing any club in europe the 4 I will recommend are Nnadi,Sarki, Ogwuche and Fredrick

Eletu is already with Milan and highly regarded there so it will be difficult for them to let him leave

Let me put it in a lame man’s term nnadi can simply do virtually what eletu does while eletu can’t do virtually what nnadi does

The guy plays like he has dt experience before(more like when a senior player plays with d u-23;d skillset will b clearly different)
I would like to knw his age …do u av an idea?

who’s age? If it’s Nnadi you are referring to he looks young and won’t be above 22-23 in real age

Also I doubt Eletu is up to 20

Other 2 that looks pretty young are Fredrick and Daga

playing like he has the experience before is because he is already playing mens football in Bulgaria

As a young player seeing game time in a professional league gives one edge above he’s mates

Without consulting any data, Nnadi na small boy ooo. Truthfully speaking.

Now consulting his records show he is 19 and would be 20 this month.

And yes, ofcos he plays with maturity and experience. He has been getting first team football in Bulgaria with Botev Plovdiv. Even featured in some European games albeit qualifiers.
