I did not say we did not win. I said we should not get carried away because the better side lost.

In the long run, history favors the side that plays better. You can beat a side in a game with negative tactics but you can not build a reputable side in a long run with it.

We can celebrate we won but we need to face reality that we were not electric.

We stayed camped and were dominated.

I know so much about tactics and I have watched these game for ages. We were outplayed. We can celebrate the win but it does not change reality.
Better side always winning with tactics.Football match is always about winning my man.Argentina had the possession and dominated but outcome proved that they are not better by losing two nil.

I don’t rate Bosso but benched Eletu should tell you he read Argentines very well.Amuneke I rated would have lost the match cuz he would be out there trying to dominate a team he cannot dominated.

Sir I love attractive football but a good coach would use any tactics to win.

It is about the long run. Not one game. We can even win the tournament but if you look back, players they did better than in the tourney will excel.

At the end, football is more than one game and if you don't learn to be a good side, with time you get swept away.

Deschamps has been successful with star studded France without relying heavily on dominating possession.... Wenger's Arsenal struggled against prime Barca while defensive minded Chelsea were a thorn in the flesh of that Barca team. Football itself would be so boring without the different styles and philosophies.

Yes you are right long run but in age tournaments all we want are players for the future and with what we have seen so far we are getting there, playing negative football does not limit these players chances.

We have had four games so far with different approaches,so let’s continue enjoy the team till it last.

We got lucky a lot with our defending. The height of the Argentines gave us troubles and we were blessed with their poor finishing a couple of times.

If the bolded was true, we won't need to park bus.

You agree we lack technical players. Tactically, we are not there too. So why is everyone getting worked up for me saying the truth.

Let us not get excited with the win because we were the inferior side.
Lol bro u so difficult.

OK answer these two questions:

Is the team good at its current pattern of play?

Has it been working for them?

Yes poor finishing in a game is part of what?our defending is part of what?THE GAME…who to blame for their poor finishing and who to praise for our defending?

My point is simple, better side won and imagine with two goals.

The pattern of play is poor. So they can not be good in the pattern of play. You like the results, at the end, we stand a better chance if we improve in play.

I don't know how to enjoy a formula like park bus. It hinders the true quality of players. How do we enjoy getting outplayed?

On the match between Arg and Nig

1. We won through pragmatism. We played to our strength[ sheer energy and counter-attack without finesse]
2. We won through DEFENSE. Defense win you tournaments, cannot win you a league
3. There is no leader in this team, Daga is only balling, Fredrick is composed and hard as nail.
4. This coach is growing on the job
5. This team can ball for 120 minutes, non stop.
6. The team has a good bench
7. Let us enjoy this emerging folk-lore.

U are skipping steps oga. Did the chances appear out the sky? Argentina had to create those chances and we are talking about tap ins in some instances. Those were goals u expect a credible player to score. A guy even had the Yakubu miss. Luck is a part of the game and we rode our luck a bunch of times yesterday.

The bolded is the point. It is not advantage but when you face a side better than you, or a tactically superior team, you park bus hoping to win.

It does not make you a better side.

So we should not get excited.

So why are you guys arguing what you termed common sense.

We should not get excited because we were not the better side.

Finito.

Agreed

In addition the key 🗝️ component is progression in your football ⚽ career. How many of the Argentine players will we see in the top leagues and clubs in the next few years .

And how many Nigerian will we see in top clubs and league that is the pertinent issue.

I was praying we meet South Korea and this is possibly our best match up...Ecuador would have given us some real problems cause they are stylistically very similar to us in how physical they play combined with some South American flair. Sk from what I've seen of them are fast and quite skillful, but we will bring our physicality to bear, we also have a decent record against Asian teams.

What a match between Ecuador and Korea Republic.

The Koreans started red hot on the offensive and scored two quick goals in the first twenty minutes but decided to sit back and cool off thereby giving the Ecuadorians a chance to stage a comeback.

Very exciting match. End to end, especially in the first half.

Our job would be to find a way to prevent the Koreans from scoring first. They're also very skillful.
