I have recently renewed my passport to 10 years validity since 2 months ago, and just last week, I sent them a webform with a scanned copy of my new passport stating the old one expires in Sept so I got a new one. Maybe any need to send another webform to reiterate that?

I believe I should be excepting a PPR soon? (really don't know what PPR means but I see from the thread that it refers to the temporary residence visa?)

Also, once I receive the request to submit my passport, should I submit both old and new passports and maybe with a letter? would be good to know if this is what people in similar situation do. Thanks again!

It means you visa has been approved and will expire in sep 2023, i advice you renew your passport ASAP before you get your PPR and send them a webform

I just got back from Lagos vfs, stressed and disappointed. I chatted with vfs customer service before I went if it’s available in Lagos or not because I sent mine to Abuja. I thought vfs Abuja will send back to lagos since that was the address I dropped. After i wasted 10k on tfare and waited over 3hrs, I was told my passport is in Abuja. I can either pickup there or pay for courier service.

Weigh your option before sending to Abuja, they stamp very fast but na money.

Make I go sleep n pray lapo approve my loan so I can pay vfs courier service 😭😭😭

Sorry bro, you know I asked you if you can do walk-in for your passport pick up? This people are blood sucker.

I will jejely walk-in submit my passport and when is ready for pick up I will also do the same, me that I can wait since 2021 and even gotten bvl and visa on tracker since April 29 no PPR yet nothing will make me rush to submit my passport to Abuja lol

It’s because I’ve booked my flight. I’m seeing ppl that submitted in Lagos over 3weeks still complaining no update. Abuja stamps within a week, na just the extra charges.

People that picked up passport today pass 200. Don’t worry you’ll hear from them once it’s ready.

Remember I told you the other day, that after weighing my options, I had to submit in Lagos vfs.

And just wait for them to email me.

Stress of submitting sef was crazy. I will just wait.

Not true. I submitted mine in person to Lagos vfs last week Friday. Today makes it exactly one week or exactly 4 working days. Got a email this evening that it’s ready for collection. So my analysis states it doesn’t matter if it’s Abuja or Lagos. It’s just grace.

I’m happy I got mine this fast coz my flight is in 12 days time

No. I got a mail this evening that its been returned back to VSF Abj and will be sent back to VFS Lagos. So all things being equal, I should get it next week.

I suggest you call their customer care service. I think that's taking too much time.

My visa on the IRCC tracker says it expires on Sept 1 2023 which is same as my passport validity. But I have a new passport now.

For anyone this info may help,,.... a friend applied since 2020 and just recieved invitation to submit passport just this week. His passport is valid for about 18 months so he rushed to renew to 10 years! Hopefully he will get a 10 years visa stamp

I can imagine the stress. I didn't bother to use Abuja directly for submission of passport and it took a week to pick it.
Lapo will approve your loan ASAP . 😀😀😀😀

I don't understand how they operate. The whole process is exhausting in my opinion.

Haven't been getting mails from VFS? I received mails religiously from them till I picked up my passport.
Kindly check your spam.

Wow...so you mean you submitted your passport at the Lagos Vfs and got it back in 1 week from same Lagos Vfs? That was fast.

Did he send web form before submitting the passport? Or just submit both.

Mine states it has already been dispatched. But not gotten a confirmation mail from Lagos vfs that it has been received yet

I'm new here and I really need your help with something that is bothering my mind.

My dad paid an agent since November-2022 for an Unskilled job offer in CANADA,,and I don't really knw what's happening till now.

To cut the long story short, as at March-2023, I got a job offer for the role of a Farmer including an invitation letter stating the conditions of the job through my agent. Please note that all the information I have had came through my Agent's email and not mine.

According to my Agent,,,the LMIA processing fee wud be paid by my employee and every other necessary fee as regards tmy traveing. But I have to be patient for atleast 2months b4 everything can be ready.

Now,,it's over 3months that we've been on this LMIA processing issue but he keeps telling to be patient that my employer is still working on it..

I have searched for the company's details online but i can only get little information about the employers information on the internet.

I have been really skeptical about all the processes but I just need anyone from Nairaland who can assist me with any vital information as regards this processes and I'll be extremely grateful.
