The market forces being referred to are few individuals who will not want a level playground or like government to allow new importers to operate because they want to enjoy monopoly and thereby not allowing the principle of demand and supply to work.

They would be deceiving you with cheap price cos they knw where they are getting back their money , they are sabotaging the govt efforts and economy... Nigeria is 95 percent dependent on fuel , as such increasong the price would cause severe hardship for the citizens... So bad , may God help our leaders tommake the right choice .

If it's confirmed that the reason why a car knocked engine was cause of adulterated fuel he or she bought, I think the fuel station and sellers will be liable to criminality and that can put them into serious trouble of jail terms.
