I think the government needs to revisit making certain subjects compulsory in primary, secondary and even University. Most of the comments here show that Every Nigerian wants to have an opinion even when the Opinion clearly shows that they're ignoramuses. Sad to see university graduates on here posting comments like illiterates. The Nigerian people through their representatives in the House of Reps and Senate removed subsidy. I know that it's tough for most people on here to read but this is getting ridiculous. 2 Likes |

GeneralPula: Baba u r dull. Submit a supplementary budget if there is no budget provision. Nobody, not even d NLC president has come out to say BAT should not remove subsidy. Take d price to ₦300 first, show us what u have done with the savings, in a year's time, u can justify total removal. With 1 trillion, u can convert 4M cars in Nigeria to use CNG. CNG is less than ₦130 per litre n is more fuel efficient than petrol. But na, if d masses do not suffer, how will d politicians feed? |

gabbytabby:You reason through your Anu** just because you stand on Tinubu mandate. So you got yourself prepared for subsidy removal since 12 years ago with 30k minimum wage or because Nigeria is one man business where one man will wake up with no plan for the masses and remove subsidy. |

Increase in wages and revert subsidy removal all in one breath? They should as well advise the government on how to fund their demands since they want her to continue borrowing to pay subsidy. Like I said before, the surest plug for the Trade Unions is to go into oil business. Government has no business fixing petrol pump price. The FG doesn't own a filling station to start with. The better start their strike action today already. I went out over the weekend, and I wonder where's the queues? I'd like to drive into the gas stations and buy fuel on time. If you live in Abuja, you'd know things are getting better now, not like you have to buy from black market. I prefer to buy at 540 with subsidy removed than buying at 350 from black market, while we claim to be enjoying subsidy when you can't even buy at the official rate. The government should not bend to the pressures from the enemies of the state. 1 Like |

Me cry never. I am proactive so always ahead of the game. Instead of wasting time online I was working to accumulate in my 20s to my 40s and retired from work to investing in my 40s to 50s. Respect the days of your little beginnings instead of investing in olosho so that you will not be moved by every action and words of others including the government. toneroforever: |

gabbytabby: Why are you calling them saboteurs?? R u happy with the situation of the country? Especially subsidy removal without palliatives or engagement with stakeholders in the oil industry. Nigerians are not against subsidy removal as we can all see that other countries are benefitting from our subsidy. Give us palliatives is what they are asking for. That doesn't make them saboteurs. Does it? |

slawomir: The tribalism is something else They now accuse the NLC national president that he is working for Peter Obi, There is also a propaganda media creation of NLC north and NLC south west rejecting the strike action called upon by NLC national body Now, This is TUC demanding that the fuel price be reversed among other things. Don't be surprised to hear that TUC south west is not in support of the demands of TUC national |

gabbytabby: All d subsidy u paid for 8 years, how did u secure the loan? CBN actually started the conversion until some people told them to stop so d masses can keep queuing for fuel n ensure d suffering The budgeted 250B to convert 1 million cars but they stopped after converting about 10,000 cars. This solution is not alien to Nigeria at all |

Tinubu's media boys should rest, the guyman, tinubu can't spin anything new, if it looks like a scam, smell like a scam, walks like a scam, speaks like a scam, and the executor is a well known scammer with dubious background, fake non existent primary school, fake claims on secondary school attended, with no known classmates, obtaining fake certificate, which he used to become Lagos governor, to be president he campaigned with fake bishops endorsement, fake building of Lagos achievement, and claiming jakande's achievement, fake financier of fake labour chairman, fake company accountant, living 200 times above his purported salary, then Nigerians run, cause this his subsidy removal is also a scam, no man learns how to use left hand at old age, scam took him to presidency, and you expect him to abandon scam, all of a sudden.

gabbytabby: You should stop the name calling, this is not about grandfathers. The government you are defending should know that until infrastructures are improved upon of which our refineries is one, you cannot wake up one day and remove it. Palliatives isn't only about giving money, there should be mass transit buses configured with the compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a means of fuel. None of these are on ground. The previous government made provision for subsidy till end of June this year, why are they removing it now? You do realize that it is illegal to suspend subsidy payments as it now a law based on appropriation act 2023. Stop the name calling please. Engage meaningfully without resorting to insult just to make your point known. |

Maybe because I am a grandmother and I can see that Ajaero is a grandfather. I don vex cos nobody gave me anything and I constantly see able bodied men doing give me give me. I might be hash but do not name call. Go to Lagos they have been doing a lot. More states need to buckle down and face forward instead all this looking for handout. integrity16: |
Re: Increase In Wages, Reversal Of PMS Pump Price: TUC Lists Demands To FG by Bluntemperor: 10:24am On Jun 05, 2023 |
GeneralPula: The troubles with Mr Ajaero is that,he is not wise to see that,as a partician Labour leader,he is losing Integrity, for you can't be a Labour Party sympatheirser and be calling Majority of Nigerians to a Strike! NO it doesn't work that way! - Let NLC provide Nigerians with their own Alternative Solutions to this Fuel Subsidies - afterall, since over a Decade,No Single Labour Leaders cried out under Buhari for Nigerian Workers Welfare to be looked into, not even the Pensioners that are dying Slowly because,no one cares! - Why is it just after a week that the New Government is in Power, that,NLC,TUC are now telling Nigerians their story and why can't they fight the Buhari Govt-then ? -Is NLC saying that Buhari govt was ok for them and they kept mum for 8-yrs because NLC is a major beneficiaries of Fuel Subsidies racket - hearing nothing ,doing nothing and saying nothing! -Then they are not Pro- active, even when the Buhari govt was proposing to increasing the Public -Sectors Salaries since last year, the NLC refused to Negotiate because they fear the govt then! Which means, the presently constituted NLC are affiliate of Nigerian Opposition Parties- fighting at awrong time! I .What has changed since 2012,- there was Covid-19- with many deaths, and locked-down,yet NLC did nothing- when other Nations were providing food and succours to their Citizens! ii. Now we have Russian/ Ukrainians Wars- with prices of Wheat gone up astronomically. • NLC, should shed the Strike and engage the New ( 5- days old Govt) on Negotiation of Workers Welfares, and is not a sign of cowidice but of Strength and Present their own view/ alternative to the Public,as Nigerians are tired of this hidden-views both in govt and NLC. •-Let every Nigerian Workers know what is on the ground for them after the Negotiation - Nothing should be hidden but NO TO STRIKE! •-Let Govt compell Dangote Refineries Board( without delay) to tell Nigerians what they will benefits, upon doing this Oil Business Locally, for we are yet to know the impacts of what Dangote Refineries will Offer to Nigerians and the Entire Business Community! • Besides,Nigerians all over the World, wants to know- when will Dangote Refineries be fully Operational and what Date? God Bless Nigeria. 1 Like |

gabbytabby:I'm in Lagos. I bought 10k fuel this morning and the fuel was nothing but a sham. 6k fuel would normally fill my tank based on the previous price but now filling stations have also resorted to adjust their pump in other to shortchange car owners even with the high price. |
