The meeting also involves new personalities elected as governors in their various states, as well as the returning ones.

President Bola Tinubu is currently hosting members of the Nigerian Governors Forum at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting commenced at noon shortly after Tinubu swore in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The swearing-in ceremony was held briefly at the council chamber of the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.

Akume took his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office in the presence of government officials.

Among those present at the swearing-in were Vice President Kashim Shettima; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and the spouse of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.

Akume has since settled into his new role as SGF while Tinubu is currently meeting with governors of the 36 states under the Nigerian Governors Forum platform.

They should do anything to ameliorate the current hardship subsidy removal is causing.

1)Electricity should be stable.
2) Major towns should have BRT.
3) Number of working days should be reduced pending when we will get used to it.

Just like yesterday they were mocking him that he was going around the country to beg for votes before the APC primaries.

Now the humble has been exalted, while the proud who many years back said he would not be found in Kano or Katsina was eventually humbled and still lost.

They said he betrayed the South by sacking Jonathan, that they will wait for Tinubu and Yorubas and show them shege.

They said rather than Yoruba winning, let the North continue ruling.

They said Tinubu must run and be disgraced. He won.

They said he will not be sworn in. He was inaugurated.

They said he will not achieve anything. They will fail as always.

This only happens in Nigeria. Why are the 36 state governors meeting the president when they are not his appointees. This is what happens when states do nothing but collect monthly stipends from Abuja. This is diisgraceful.
