You were the ones who blamed smugglers in the first place. Even if there was no single liter being smuggled out, what the govt is saying is that it can no longer afford the subsidies.
Then pay the higher transport fare, pay for the rising costs of goods and services and DO NOT EVER COMPLAIN.

What this means is smuggling will still be a lucrative business.

Countries like Benin Republic, Ghana, Chad and Niger are leeches, sucking hard on our struggling economy.
Thank God for sending us Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Our problem is we are always emotional
They are not leeches so stop the childish outbursts. There is criminal activity moving in both directions highlighting the fact that the nation's and their boundaries are artificial

None of the So called smuggling will happen without active participation and collaboration of Nigerians . Nigerians are not saints we perpetrate a lot of crime in other countries too.
The solution is what we should focus on not name calling. We created the problem unnecessarily. There should never have been any subsidy ever. We would have got used to it by now

Let us fix our problems by accepting responsibility for our failings without blaming others.

Nigeria is a sick country!

How can we have border patrol agencies and be subsidizing PMS for all West African countries?

This is enough to retire all customs officers that work along Nigerian borders!
Don't mind them, they carried a military general and made him custom CG and they expect corruption in that department not to increase. A novice to head one of the most corrupt service in Nigeria, honestly Buhari nearly render this country useless.

We should concern ourselves with countries like Angola and Libya because they are oil producing countries and the last time I checked, Angola have subsidy in petrol to some extent and have total subsidy in diesel, kerosene, cooking gas and gas oil.making the citizens a beneficiary of their natural common wealth. Nigeria have none

Here in Nigeria, instead of tackling the endemic corruption in the Oil industry spearheaded by those in government, NNPC and Oil cabals, maintain an effective border control to checkmate smuggling, the government turn around and inflict pain and hardship on the people by increasing the pump price of fuel masquerading it as subsidy removal

I am asking, What is the Nigerian common man benefiting from "Our" Oil
libya is 7m, angola 34m. Cant be compared to a country of 200m

But not at the cost of the government.

If the government is not subsidizing, you can take your product to anywhere, you not hurting anybody.

President Buhari is actually more at home in the Republic of Niger than in Nigeria.

Let them cry rivers and bow to the Giant of Africa.

They're leeches. Most of these countries' governments are aware but look the other way to meet their local consumption demands despite the damage it does to the Nigeria economy.

Federal allocation is the benefit of Nigerians. They use that to pay salaries, develop roads, and etc.

Because Nigeria generate revenue mostly from oil, it help states meet their financial obligation. Some states can’t even do 1billion IGR monthly comfortably, without federal allocation from oil, most people would have died or hunger.

This is a big indictment on our customs.
It shows that they have not been doing their jobs, and may be part of the fuel smuggling or bunkery.

Anyway, thank God for giving us BAT

If they still want to keep smuggling after removal of subsidy then govt should make the supply of petrol to neighbouring countries only for registered petrol lifters who pay tax to FG. The elephant in the room is the subsidy and we have removed it.

The likes of Bossgerald wants Nigeria to keep on subsidizing petrol for Benin, Niger and Cameroon

But you have borders and the products are not moved with cans but trucks and vessels. Don't worry they'll devise other means of looting our coffers. The monster in the room is still CORRUPTION, the rest are symptoms.

I’m buying at the normal selling price. If it was removed by Obi or Atiku, i would still buy!

You people are getting it wrong. It's not about *how much you're buying fuel now*

When fuel was at the range of #20/litre, the country wasn't working..

When fuel was at the range of 65#, the country wasn't working..

When fuel was at the range of 95,120,190,,, the country wasn't still working..

Now, one of those things that can help the country move forward is removal of subsidy! Now, it has happened! What next? We shall see! I believe if government use the subsidy money for the betterment of Nigerians, we'll all feel and enjoy the result!
Removing subsidy does not mean nigeria will work because savings generated from it will eventually go to increment of salaries. The price of oil and other things is not realistic for a 30k earner.
