Suspension is different from Sack. And not against the law.

Go and ask Jonathan that started it. Btw, you don’t just read an act and come to a conclusion. In interpreting a law, you read the actual law together with the interpretation act. The president appointed the CBN governor and in accordance with the interpretation act, the president can suspend or fire any of his appointees.

What did the law say about a CBN Governor and contesting for a political office? Let's start from there.

What did the law say about public officer contesting for elective positions. The CBN joined a political party and also bought nomination form to contest the election and refused to obey the law of the land.

Not some "Jonathan started it" kind of response

Jonathan started it and that’s a fact. Apart from the precedent set by Jonathan, the interpretation act is also there. The president can suspend and fire any of his appointees. The interpretation act interprets all acts of parliament and the constitution.

He is only suspended not sacked or removed. The President has that power even though APC/Tinubu criticised Jonathan taking same action on Sanusi.

The CBN Act is silent on the President's powers on suspension of the Governor, he can go to the National Industrial Court if he feels aggrieved but one thing is sure he will not get reprieve.

Who cares about two-thirds of the Senate? Over 200million Nigerians have sacked him through Tinubu. That is enough!!
