I am expecting president tinubu to suspend him and later be arrested by dss tomorrow 😀😀😀

Meanwhile, guys don’t let us deceive ourselves, like I av always opined, aside osimhen and maybe iwobi …every oda players in dt team is not indispensable…d next coach should take note ,make e pursue anybody wey no fit play from our team

My problem with Peseiro has always been how he sets up his team and his player selections. He clearly isn't concerned about the specific player profiles that can improve the team. He just runs with same old, same old and inshallah. No strategic effort to improve anything tactically or technically.

Aside his tactical ineptness, he is also showing poor game management today as Rohr did in the last part of his reign.
We should have won with 5 or 6 goals margin had it been our players utilized their chances. No bi him fault na.

The game plan worked well.

What else do you want him to do. He presented the best formation and we scored thrice and created loads of chances on that rubbish pitch! Go and sit down! Senegal drew Benin, Morocco lost to South Africa, Algeria won one nil against Uganda, Ivory Coast lost 3nil. go and sit down

I observed he didn't even bother calling out for the setpieces. Guy just bounce for centre. Dazaall. Let's see if he'd become more involved in 2nd half.

As it stands, looks like the gk on the Afcon potential list will be different this time.
Looks like he wore his pouncing Cheetah sleeves for the 2nd half. Two key saves from setpieces and he shouted at them to organize. A much better, influential 2nd half for the debutant.

Iheanacho finally scores in GWG after 1 year, 5 months and 7days

It's so good seeing Kelechi Iheanacho get on the scoresheet again for us after such a long while.

The last time Iheanacho scored for Nigeria was at the Afcon vs Egypt off that Aribo assist.

It is Iheanacho's 12th International Goal and his 18th G+A in 45 NT Caps (33 starts).

Giving the bouncing castle we played on

I give the boys and the coach a pass. Only cultural dance should be done on that kind of field

Edit:
No vote of confidence on that GK

If we could have that arrangement in the early 90's even through Keshi's reign why can't we see that rein through this time? For me it is a proof of your tactical nous as a coach if you can field 3home based hungry players in your starting 11 thus also promoting the NPFL.
And sbortly after the 3 featured home based players abscond to obscure leagues in Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania etc and the circle continues

Just say you want the coach to use the national team market home based players to obscure leagues abroad because same home based players have not proved themselves in CHAN or CAF continental competitions to warrant this call

Well, I have seen him play in the flanks for NF. And we also have Lookman in the team, he can play as a winger too.

O pari
Awoniyi cannot play as a winger to the level required of a decent team. He doesn't have the footwork, speed or crossing ability to do that role effectively.

If we're serious about giving our league a good name, CHAN/WAFU is the best place to start.

The game plan also included giving up 2 goals right? Winning does have a way of making us not focus on the ills of our team. I am glad we won and happy for the chances but I am sad the midfield selection is still not functional. Our biggest chances creator today was a Striker. Can you believe that?

We actually encouraged them 200times over. I blame JPes for not doing something to kill that. Iwobi had to drop deep to assist Onyeka again. Na we fes underrate ourselves. We no dey show class from start to finish in such matches, starting from Bissau lose. Adeleye saved this team in dying moment even if nothing much overall. If na Uzoho, those two setpieces go enter

Don't mind them jare! Playing Iwobi and Aribo gave Oshimen the free space to run to. See Aribo exquisite pass for that second goal. Simon and Chukweze also great on the wings.

If they had parked the bus, a draw will be secured against the apparently floppy Nigerian team.

I guess Osimhen's exit brought about their overconfidence.

Exactly Bro but this home based players barely deliver in those competitions one can't even remember the last time they qualify for CHAN..

Either the selection or coaches...The home based eagles have not been living up to expectations

Very quality move from Zaidu

Meanwhile I hope Bassey gets back on track in his development
Reminds me of Echiejile and Ambrose doing exactly same forward burst at dying moment to help win a match years ago. He saved us an embarrassing post match blow over.

There is nothing funny here. Go check the clubsides of the Sierra Leonean National Team players holding you to a draw.
can't really see your point. as if we no dey see how home based eagles dey perform for their own competition. We were here when they flunked the chan qualifiers twice in a row.

Sincerely, only Iwobi enjoyed this pitch. Dunno why the rest didn't just grab his instant passing and moving style. They want to be holding onto ball on this trampoline pitch. He was the only sleek player today. The rest are just annoying. He's the big man of this team alongside Osimhen. If anything happens to him, this team is finished.

And, lest i forget

Ndidi is finished!!!

The two goals were individual brilliance and resilience of just one player. Nothing more.

It doesn't negate the fact that we dominated the game and had several scoring chances.

I was impressed though there is room for improvement.

The tactics today was spot on whether the striker was creator or not. Abi na striker worked the ball from behind singlehandedly?

He got passes that freed him to give passes that were enough for us to had scored more goals due to the counterattack tactics adopted today. Habamana!

You call that one dominating? 🌚😥😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

That's not dominating. We didn't dominate, esp this 2nd half. If Adeleye did not make 2 key saves in 2nd half, you won't be saying this atall.

Conclusion

Like JPes , Like Randy Waldrum

Clueless in game reaction.

Exactly. I was impressed with the way they passed the ball arround intelligently. Not like the usual dribble dribble we are used with.

Them try abeg.

Actually, anything apart from a win for them is useless. The mistake was in them conceding two first half goals.
