Guyman01: That "half imbe" that you mentioned caught my attention. The guy has successfully made himself a nuisance on this platform. Despite how glaring it was that the past president was a complete failure personified, the "imbe" kept calling him his darling daddy and hailing all his failure. He must certainly be an "imbe" truly. 2 Likes 1 Share |

nairalanda1: Crude will not be sold to Dangote in naira. That is inverse economics. Nigeria needs the fx to balance its trade Dangote does not need the naira either, he is operating in a global industry traded in USD. His loans are in USD. He also will not be selling refined products only to Nigeria Nigerians need to manage their expectations 4 Likes 1 Share |

Flets: Yeah, won't be surprised if crude is sold to Dangote in dollars (when our gas companies are selling to GENCOS in dollars, even the Nigeria Gas company of all entities). At the end, things cost money, even petrol. Ghana and Niger should by rights be subsidsing fuel...but they do not. As a result they have working refineries. |

ZombiePUNISHER: We are BATist, we believe in him 200%, we will not protest against him. This is the time for you Goatluck and Giringori Obituary’s men to protest. You cannot fail as government in power and also fail as opposition. That will mean you are not qualified to be human beings. Democracy flourishes because of opposition, if there is no opposition, then there is no democracy 1 Like 1 Share |

Big headed idiot speaking plenty grammar without saying anything. Fuel price has almost tripled, leading to a commensurate rise in cost of living for the common man and middle classes, without any increase in their wages and income, or in their quality of life. That's the not-so-simple matter on ground. Most already poor people are being pushed into abject poverty and misery. And it is not even a gradual push. It is an abrupt, rude, insensitive, push with intent to kill. All your useless grammar doesn't explain how these people who happen to be the majority of Nigerians would benefit. 1 Like 1 Share |

Flets: You want this government to keep continuing policies that bankrupted the country, that has made the country so indebted that it uses all revenue to service its debt? You want policies that made the country the poverty capital of the world? Buhari's interference in setting the exchange rate was the primary reason why the economy did so badly during the Buhari years. If he had simply followed the exchange rate system he inherited when he assumed office, people would be singing his praises today. Tinubu is simply redressing that error. Already, the stock market is responding positively to economic reforms and there has been foreign praise. This isn't even up to 4 weeks. When he appoints ministers, I am sure there'd be more positive changes by then Without the removal of the fuel subsidy, the Naira would crash to like 1500 within 3 years if not worse as it was costing the government too much. I think the government would like to increase salaries. An increase of 100% won't be bad but when you consider that the civil service is bloated and can manage on only 50% of its labour force, it puts pay rise into proper perspective. 2 Likes 1 Share |

But this same Tinubu and his gangs fought and protested against subsidy removal by Jonathan in 2012 calling him all sorts of names. But suddenly, you are in power ( though temporary because joy is coming) all of you are supporting the removal of fuel subsidy. Thunder fire y'all.!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

opeldavid: Even if tinubu wanted to keep subsidy now, we just don't have the money. That's why he and most of the candidates supported subsidy removal. Obi inclusive Yes he was wrong in 2012, and so were most Nigerians. Most people supported subsidy retention then. They did not know that we had spent 3 times in 2011 what we spent in 2010 on subsidy. |
