tym92: My best guess will be, since AD take over a year. You try to get admission 3 month prior the time of appointment. Or get admission and defer if possible. |

Beress: Bielefeld is a small city, you should get a self con for less, but apply to Studentenwohnheim (dorm) already to save immediate housing stress. 1. You may no longer be able to have traditional 3 times a day. It can get less or more after you spend a few months not knowing what you are doing in some cases (it's normal BTW). 2. You can have the cheap private health insurance like Mawista but if you know you have preexisting health challenges or your working hours exceed 120 h per month, take public. Better you start with simple Mawista though. |

MrAAA2: I really appreciate your response 🙏 Pls how is the Studentenwohnheim (dorm) like? Is it one person to a room? And the cost? For someone in the mid 30s, what will be the cost for public health insurance? |

Beress: Two types... Shared apartment, WG where you may share a kitchen and bathroom with 1-4 persons. There are also self con, good place. Insurance is about 220 |

Please I'm suppose to resume study by October this year, but unfortunately can't because I didn't book for a visa appointment on time because of ignorance, and the feedback said If I did not get a appointment before the specified resumption date, I should cancel. I booked appointment this month, so obviously I may not get appointment before October, Please is it better for me to cancel and apply with a date for next year resumption cos my school does not accept deferral nor summer intake, only winter, so I intend to reapply for admission. Or should I just leave it, will they call me for interview after the admission window or my resumption period closes? what if they call me after the supposed resumption date, what will I do? I'm confused now, I need advise please. |

Hello. Good day to everyone. Although i have been a silent reader i want to say a very big thank you to everyone who contributes in one way or another to this group. God Bless you so much Thanks for the wealth of information you are putting out, you are all a Blessing. Please i have some questions and would really appreciate your direction on what i should do and the right decisions to take. My Bsc and MBA studies were in Business management both from the United Kingdom. Do i need the language proficiency to apply for Msc program in Germany?. I am interested in taking up a masters degree in Business Analytics or Project management. Please i would also want to know which of these courses is more lucrative, and would enable me get permanent residence after my studies. Outside these courses i have been seeing that sports science is also lucrative in Germany, but i am not a sports enthusiast and don't think i will cope well. Is there another course that is in high demand that i can do as a masters program instead? Which of the institutions should i apply to that i could also get a scholarship? In a town that would be good in terms of part time jobs, not so expensive in cost of living. I don't know how this can help but my mom's step brother who is my uncle been living in Germany for over 20 years Can someone aslo help me with how i can start with the admissions process? Thanks in advance for your response |

ChiomaMC: As it is, it will be next year before you get an AD, best bet is you notifying your school that due to your Visa delay you won’t be able to make it this year. Some schools will tell you to apply next year and attach ur formal admission letter ( to give you priority admission next year). 1 Like |

My school is not a problem here, I'm only concerned about the embassy and if I should do a new booking of appointment against next year, or leave the one I already booked for this year 9cguy: |

Wow! A huge congratulations to you ❤️ But didn’t you submit your passport with your health and travel insurance? Or you submitted those when you did your interview? [/quote] Yes I submitted my proof of funds together with my health insurance and passport. Not on interview day. Separately. I didn’t have it then . So they gave me more time to submit it after my interview. It was just Gods grace. |

somto234567: God is great indeed. Congratulations once more. But please if I may ask, is it possible to just submit the travel insurance as well and also leave your passport with them on the day of interview? |

Hi everyone, thanks for taking time to answer our questions 👍.I have a masters admission to uni Hamburg for 1st October and plan on using a sponsorship letter. Am in category B and had booked appointment mid last year. D question is should I 1. deferre my admission to next year summer or winter semester or 2. Pay for enrollment and take academic leave or something like that 3. Take online classes if available Pending when am called for visa appointment. Also can my sponsorship letter given this year be used for next year summer or winter semester in d case I don't get appointment this year |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Nobody: 5:52am On Jun 24, 2023 |
Kratos14: Yes the returned my passport to me during the interview. But because the gave me a specific deadline to send my proof of funds, I included it with my documents when I was sending them to the embassy, hence no need for a separate mail requesting me to send it. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Nobody: 6:01am On Jun 24, 2023 |
Kennie28: They barely asked anything serious. 1. why are you coming to Germany to study the course you’re studying? 2. what is the full title of your course? 3 . You graduated with your first degree 6 years ago, why did you decide to do your master now instead of earlier? 4. you graduated with a 2.2 explain how you will finish this course with flying colors? (* to ans this I ended up printing and sending them my first semester results I was doing online in my Göttingen, to prove I was really doing well in class). That was it The rest were basic information about me and submitted documents. 1 Like |
