Nigerian government should take a cue, pay them back tit for tat, do what benefits us, stop being big brother or Mr nice guy. Let's pay the British in its own coin.

I support this. Na so Dem come with one kind yeye ban like that sometime begining of this year or so as bubu administration put same ban on the British as well, they relaxed theirs. These British people feeling of Supremacy too much.

You guys are funny. How many white men reside in your street?
How many white men are studying in your government universities?

You want your Misleaders that have failed to make your country work to 'punish' UK?

Leave the guy...he should go and check history...how foreigners used to come to Nigerian Universities back in the good old days of quality education.

Eat your fertile land bro. I’ll pick progressive “barren land” over “fertile retrogressive land”.

Just now, your fuel go finish because it’s now three times what you used to pay. And why are you even using generator when you already pay for electricity?!

Enjoy your fertile land.

Come to think of it o. No one in this new government has talked about the light issue. Guess what that means. NOTHING CAN OR WILL BE DONE CONCERNING IT. SUCH A PITY.

Nigeria is a British corporation with our leaders(their installed puppets) as ceo and the citizens as workers. That's why Nigeria will always work for the elite and not for the citizen. wake up bro.

Na wa for you o, what has Russia hot to do with the topic in question. Politics has eaten up your brain. So, he should go and study Russian because he wants to go to school or reside there. By the way you need to know Language and the fact that more Nigerians are in the UK, US etc are the reasons for Nigerians affinity with them. Language is powerful, the Brits have replaced our indigenous languages as a result of colonialism(with the blood of your great grandfathers).

But will be doing “Aluta” any time fees are raised in Nigeria?!

Anyway, we largely get what we pay (or not pay) for. SMH undecided
>

I think you should put it in context.
It is t he rich and middle class that send their kids to UK for study and they are just about 5% of the population of Nigeria.

It is the poor that are doing the aluta.

Most of them dont have accomodation, they stay in B%B until they are able to sort themselves out. So u can imagine paying as much as 50pounds daily for accomodation. Our government should do more back home. Our educational system has crumbled almost beyond repair. The primary school is gone, secondary schools no go area and now its affecting our universities. Citizens are all turning to private institutions. Where have we got it wrong? Maybe presidents and politicians who don't value education.

The annoying part, they can only work for 20 hours in a week.

Did the UK do anything wrong? You want to go and study but you carry your village to the place all in the name of studying. They checked that if not stopped it will over populate their housing needs and also work.
We are our problem my dear. Did you see the statistics? Nigerians alone made up over 10% of visas issued globally.
Meanwhile, remember it's not just targeted on Nigerians alone. Come to think of it, how many UK citizens do you think apply to come here in a year? Try anything funny and we will be the ones to cry.

Stop your slave mentality, law of reciprocacy is diplomatic and international relations currency. The fact that am not eager or interested to go to UK, still it's an abitrary decision, and there are ways we can reciprocate.

Tell us the fact and you Sha be set free! Your state economy is no longer strong to continue to absorb the said policy which has been in place for decades.

The authority is busy chasing Russian shadow with taxpayers money. It has nothing to do with emigration. Why don't you ban the students from coming to study in your country? You wasn't do that because their patronage formed part of your economic indicis you gather to be wasting in Russian.

Talk and you shall be set free.

Not slavery mentality bro. People are trying to straighten their economic policies and we want to bend it for them. They didn't say they won't give Visas but that students will not be coming with dependants. This is simply to reduce over population.

Why do you think jobless Nigerian youth are raising over 10 million naira by all means just to go to UK and enroll for MSC that they don't really need?
Watch as the numbers of Nigerian youth going to UK for MSC will drop drastically next year. Like from 60k students and 60k dependants per year to 20k students and zero dependant. grin grin grin
It is going to be loss of revenue for UK authorities too

I hope you don't take your time to read the news or you are just typing out of ignorance, the reasons provided is a very loud able one and I commend the UK government for responding appropriately to this kind of stuff, not all countries can be like Nigeria whose borders is porous and has no plan for proper housing planning and provision of basic goods and services....

A friend of mine who came as dependant showed me a WhatsApp group he belonged to, it has over 450 members.... all former staff of a particular commercial bank in Nigeria, who all don japa come UK as students or dependants.

What got me laughing was how they introduce themselves when they newly joined the group....I am (name), (branch), (last position held), (UK town or city presently in).....I don show, make una show me the way!😆😆😆😆

Make their children go learn LGTB for school
