Mehn, i understand you very much because i am there too.. Only God knows how many times i have comtemplated suicide. There was a night i bought a bottle of sniper and it was just looking like coke to me, i also ended it but my poor mom came to my mind and i couldnt do it again...
I have made wrong choices, mistakes, i am mostly alone, i feel like i have failed, feeding from hand to mouth, hustling and struggling just to eat.. Worst of it all is that i have so much things in my heard i would love to accomplish but i cant. Mehn, i can go on and on but i will tell you this, just hold on and be prayerful, you will be fine.. Depression is very real..

You shall overcome. I was in this situation a couple of months back with reason only God knows. Funny thing is I couldn't phantom what could have triggered this, plus I had a foggy brain, head full of sick thoughts. I had to associate with some new friends I usually just say hi to on the street, They don't drink or smoke. We would sit and gist for as long as possible then I'd head home late night, we play football on weekend and I think this really helped sort my situation. It was not a good thing to experience. Just hang in there, this phase shall pass.

Try to take care of urself and dont add more pressure on urself. Try to achieve something small each day as well to take ur mind of the depression

I had help building the cabin, and it was close to a running river. It was perfection. I installed solar, a water filter, and a couple of other necessities. Every 3 to 4 months, I retire to the woods and stay a couple of weeks then return to civilisation. I am a hardcore introvert who enjoys his own company, so staying two weeks alone with my dog is heaven. I hate people.

Introvert too, though I hv manufactured personalities I deploy wen needed. if u hv everything u need, shelter food, water, power & internet wats d need socializing.

I'm passing through deep depression too. Just Take enough water, read enough comment on nairaland. My depression is not because of relationship, tho am not in any relationship, my depression is as a result of my failure in life, am useless for now, am like a coward.

I know not having money or success might be the major cause of depression. But we should always have the mindset that wanting money should not be on our mind instead needing money should what we focus on.

money is needed for the following things, food, shelter and clothing. once you have these 3 things, you should count yourself lucky and also try living a healthy lifestyle.

they are so many online activities and games you could do to take your mind off things. you can also engage in offline activities and games in your environment eg chess, draft, scrabble. If you check well those people you feel are poor are not even depressed as the rich people trying to stay that way amassing wealth.

we should count everyday we are alive as an achievement esp in Nigeria. move at your own pace and stop allowing expectations of others to make you depressed

Depression is real and typing or speaking from experience, I can tell you how is feels.

Firstly, you need a good support system. From either good friends or family. Some may not understand what you are going through but you still need them.

Secondly, NEVER isolate yourself. NEVER be alone. The more you stay alone the more damage you would causing to yourself and mental state. If you are still with the toxic partner, you probably need a break to get yourself out of this pit.

Thirdly, you need enough sleep. I wouldnt encourage anti-depressant drugs. You can try swallowing garlic before bedtime.

Fourthly, you to exercise. A simple 30-40mins outdoor brisk walking will make the difference. You may not feel the impact initially but remaining consistent overtime you will feel the great effect. Also please drink lots of water. At least 4Liters per day

Fifthly, write down your thoughts. This helps greatly!!! Write as much as you can. At this depressive state, your mind will be processing alot and you may end up making wrong decisions. Writing your thoughts would organize your mind and purge unwanted thoughts.

Lastly, reduce talking about what made you depressed. The more you talking about it, the more depressed you maybe. It is allowed to vent for 20min Max per day.

You have to be intentional about your effort to defeat depression. If you are still with the toxic partner, please avoid talking to much about the toxic events for now. You can only have a constructive with a clear mind.

You for just travel for a while, leave you environment and move to another place for a while, when you come back you will see everything will be fine with you

Another thing s that never compare your self with another person and never compute with another person, always do your best and leave the rest for God

I love this. As a nature enthusiast, I would definitely give this a trial. However, did you factor in security? Be safe out there!

I'm a lady and the idea seems right. Only that I may not execute this in a secluded place. Has to be in a village where I can mingle with people and also get the best of nature. Plateau state comes to mind.
