Ckay and Victony are some of the biggest stars on earth today. Rema is Delta Igbo while Omah Lay is Ikwerre. The biggest songs in Nigerian history are "Calm Down" and "Love Nwantiti".
Rema is not Delta Igbo, he's from Edo...

Ikwere are not Igbo, stop land grabbing... 🤷

Hate is what has destroyed Ndigbo as of late. Nobody wants a toxic person around them and since the advent of hunchback bingo, namadi cownu and his brainless Ipob cannibals, Ndigbo have sunk low.
Even the animal, Flavour that I used to like praised hunchback namadi cownu and since then, I stopped listening to anything Igbo
You’re not lying bro. So Flavour is supporting Nnamdi Kanu?

Disgusting.

Great question! However let me guide u aright and update u. There are giant in music and there are those who stood on the shoulder of the giant. In music, you will have to be one of the two and not both at the same time. That said. A well trained successful man cannot claimed he is bigger than his parent, another example for you to ponder on .

These trios in no particular order, p square, D banj and Tuface were all giants that help us broke international barriers and propagate our music to a larger audience. They have further carry the flag were fela stop and beyond. They were standing on the shoulders of Remedies ,Styl plus and other generational pacesetter of their era. This is how music business runs, you do your part and allow your children to come and finish it off and the cycle continues. Whether na Yoruba time, Ibo or Edo or Benue valley time, the show must continue and the winner at the end is Nigeria .

Another Gravely Grave Rant.
Will you fight God who blessed the Yorubas when and where there is a level playing ground?
Little time now you will rant about the reasons USA govt always put Yorubas in their cabinet and leaving out the Igbos.
Or you might even say that why are the Yorubas the best business people with multibillion dollar businesses abroad and not Igbos.
The list goes on but it is all about the Grace of God and enormous competence of the Yorubas.
They have always been the achievers if you want to compare them with the Igbos.
The Igbos are good but the Yorubas have always been better.
Simple fact and truth.
Shikena.

Igbos have areas they excell in. The average Igbo man is more adept at business than the average Yoruba man or any other Nigerian people for that matter.

In addition, Igbos as per music, do alot better than other tribes when it comes to gospel music. Even listening to one right now.👌
I dispute this for legitimate business and income earned honestly.

If you mean in crime and questionable income, I will say Yes, you are correct.

RockHard:
I think there's some kind of swag or something extra that Yoruba language adds to music content that might be difficult to replicate. Take Asake for example. He sings in Yoruba just same way Flavour sings in ibo language, but Asake's brand is more appealing internationally coz of that Yoruba swag. Maybe Flavour should start adding Yoruba to his music so he can also enjoy some of that crossover appeal. Just saying. undecided
You say?

Panam Percy Paul.. Legend
But Sinach has done really well too especially when one of her songs was recorded again by an American gospel artist and became global literally.
Many even think it's the American man's song and not Sinach

She's doing well for herself, not underrating her, still, no one come close to Percy Paul. Today's artistes generally are being favoured by digital innovations and platforms which would have equally helped great musicians back in the days. It's only Percy Paul that could make me pull out Don Moen from my tape recorder. Pls how many hit songs does Sinach have?
