Unilorin MAY accept 2nd choice, but like I always say... U just hav 2 kno sum1, like 3 profs, that can fight for u... Even if u score 100 in post utme, u really need connections... University admission no be small thing, na reeeeal looooong thing!!!!

Unilorin post-utme is computer based... I can't remember but I think u'll write english, maths and general paper...

Like I said, it all deals with the connections if u want ur name to be in the first list.... U gats kno a lot of professors...


But don't worry, all will be well....

Since u're in your first year, u'll face university physics, chemistry, biology, maybe maths and the GNS courses... So just prepare hard to score As or Bs to have a high GP, so that u can cross easily

We all call it MED & SURG, but sometimes 4gt abt d surgery part. If i may ask, has any1 ever performed a real surgery on a patient be it cholecystomy,laparotomy etc. ? If YES!!! ,share ur experience with us.

I've just been admitted to unilorin via DE to study medicine and surgery. I thank God. 200 level here i come...

Only full-fledged doctors perform operations.... We students just watch and learn in the theatre...

Consultants perform the major surgery eg laparotomy, senior registrars assist the consultants and also perform operations like caeserean section. Registrars perform operations like chest tube insertion. While house officers just try and learn c-section, herniorraphy and others that may be useful when he goes for service.

What we students can do are things like stitching minor cuts, lumbar puncture, etc, but we have to be supervised by a registrar, not even a house officer...
