I often wonder how employers leave salaries of their workers stagnant even with the ever rising cost of living, and somehow expect the workers not to steal from them.

Newton's laws of Physics have never been wrong. Every action is equal and opposite to a reaction. Running a business or organisation is not easy. But even as a business owner, once cost of living increases, you raise the cost of your output to the buying public so you can maintain profits. Isn't it wise that you equally look at the welfare of your workers so they too can be comfortable to work honestly and with commitment?

But greed just full everywhere for this country.

Jokes aside, the only way this nonsense can favour you and your family is by working hard to earn from things that have gone up in value. Food is number one.
Speak for yourself Bîgbrother. You’re not part of his family and not his boss at work too.
This new development Don favor some people big time. I don’t even know salary means lol because I do daily jobs

I am an employer. For my staffs not to increase their sharp practices (which might be difficult to curtail) I took up their tfare expenses.
That means you are underpaying them b4?

So all these tales, none of you is a salary earner? None of you actually is being "killed by subsidy removal ", and none of you has a salary that can no longer take you home?
This is why the leaders should not be carried away by lamentations on social media full of fake and idle folks.

Most of you are not salary earners, you live above your means and misrepresent those who are the most vulnerable members of the society who genuinely need help. If you can afford to be on Nairaland, you are not among the needy abeg. You're among the idle and privileged youths.
honestly but for me it’s hasn’t been easy I’m thinking of changing my car to a more fuel efficient car compared to the one I’m using

Owing to the new economic realities occassioned by fuel subsidy removal, how far did your last month salary take you this month?

Today being 27th, is the salary still sustaining you to date?

Let's hear from you.

I'm not earning a salary but I want to hear from salary earners.

Lol. My salary has almost become useless to me. Luckily I still earn an average of over 4 times its size per month. And even at that, it's still not easy. People are really suffering. Last month's salary finished in less than a week. Six figures for that matter. Lol. We are really enslaved

Lets hear from the salary earners ,

I earn 6 figures and fill my Tank 70 liters for around 38k, I normally use 1&1/2 tank a month

A six-figure salary!

You are clearly in the fast-diminishing minority!

Over 60 percent of working Nigerians can't currently boast of their salaries even sustaining them halfway to the next paycheck.

Many supporters of APC and this government will try hard to disparage and attack such submissions, but I have learned to ignore the idiots!

Making light of people's sufferings just to defend your mandate is beyond stupid! It's diabolical and reprehensible!
