To my fellow Igbos, I want to thank all of you who have started listening to what some of us have been shouting for years, to relocate a portion of your investments back home. Im into properties and I can see the impact our people are making by deciding to no longer buy or build houses where they are domiciled, but to do so in the East.

However, I want to sound a note of warning to our people in Lagos, the businessman, the trader, the artisan, the entrepreneur and those in private or public sector

Relocate at least 1/3 of your investments and savings back to the East!

Those who claim to own Lagos have told to your face that you are a visitor, in other words, you are a visitor in your own country. You have been disenfranchised, told you have no stake in Lagos and warned not to be part of the political process there. What more evidence do you need, to know that "one Nigeria" is a fraud?

So our people need to treat Lagos as what it is, a "place of business", it is not home. Dont be discouraged by those who talk of insecurity in the East, the amount of killings, murders, armed robbery, thuggery, theft and other criminalities commited in Lagos alone is more than the rest of Southernern Nigeria combined

Do not wait until those who claim to own Lagos come one day to pursue you out before you know there is nothing like 'one Nigeria'. Act now and relocate your fall-back to the East

Relocate all abeg , the 1/3 not enough. More space needed for better things in our region.

You people should stop disturbing us with daily noise. Imagine a majority tribe behaving like a minority tribe.

Schemed out of almost everything all because of their way of politics yet still not ready to drop the obsolete method that refused to work.

Please change the 1/3 to 2/3. In both heading and Body of message.

As for me I have stealthy liquidated all my landed assets in that cursed entrapment. What is obtainable for me now is re-investment in very viable businesses and structures in the OLD SE Region.

God is spiritual and all these Agbadorian foolishness has awoken the IGBO people to realities.

I am proudly Igbo and I support your statement 100%. We say we are developers, yet South East looks like a glorified slum and then we want others to respect us. During the civil war, igbos ran back home and after the war. Rather than learn our lesson and base our businesses and expertise in our land , we FLED the east back to wherever we came from as I'd our own villages were uncomfortable or not deserving of our investments. We all migrated to foreign lands , neglecting the east , making it redundant and hopeless compared to the others and then cry about being oppressed by the indigenes of Lagos. Whether igbos like it or not, Lagos is in South West region of Nigeria, and belongs to another tribe . Igbos complain of being overtaxed, ripped off and under appreciated but would rather pay whatever Lagos government asks than return home, and then boast about developing another man's land. No one in his right mind would give you the respect you are looking for if your native land remains a barren wasteland. PS: This also applied to Africa/Africans at large.

Very smart decision.

You should not be investing in the midst of people that you hate.

Liquidate all immediately and go to where you love yourselves.

I was thinking relocation of core business will be sufficient, how do you measure 1/3 or 2/3 of a supply chain business like Slot cosscharis or a consulting business like zinox.

But relocation of the core of their business could mean having warehousing, research and development, regional hq in the east and having sales outlets in Lagos.

This should apply to igbo businesses with a turn over of more than N10B . The smaller businesses like malls , pharmaceutical companies, boutiques etc still operate wherever they want .

I know big igbo manufacturers in ogba ikeja axis with turnover or more than N10b but how do you relocate such except you invest in bigger manufacturing companies in the east and use Lagos office to meet supply chain stop gaps

Firstly relocating of business is dependent on if that business is possible to relocate

All Igbo manufacturers should relocate 100% to Igbo land... Unless it's impossible to do so

Pharmaceutical companies, food, equipment, machinery production should be done in the east sold across Africa

Traders and service providers should remain where they day but I repeat sent your profits down east.... Plaza, hotels, malls built with profit should be down east

Farmers should keep farming outside east process in east if possible if not process where u can but send profit down east

This is my take

Where is the slums in Igbo land?
What do you mean by we all migrated to foreign lands
What % of Igbos are outside south east?

I keep wondering why you all think 90% igbos are outside east with majority in Lagos, what a wrong assertion

Almost all the rich igbos are home doing great in their chosen endeavour safe for politicians and few importers taking advantage of Lagos privileges they enjoy from FG.

Most of us have never been to Lagos and wish never to be there if there is no urgent need for that

it is not even about relocation, is the east favourable for business to thrive?
People from other parts will likely come and invest, our problem is tribalism.
The good thing about USA, UK and others is that it is very favourable for industries to thrive, an Arab man can come buy a football club from the royal family and everyone is ok with it.
If you are a businessman, where will u invest? Lagos or Anambra?

Is this how you want to do your Biafra when we chase you out of Nigeria ?

Treating it like your cursed village and only going back to Biafra for your burial ceremonies or to be
buried ?

Why only 1/3?

Why not everything including yourselves because that's the harsh reality of what a Biafra will look like for you guys which you of all posters here are a staunch advocate of.

You seem to totally misunderstand the new Yoruba position as it concerns you Ibos in particular and it is for your permanent relocation out of Yoruba land owing to your uncouth ways and utterances...

When it comes to this your Biafra, there are no middle ground. You are either a Nigerian or not and you will have no rights above a Nigerian citizen or that of any other foreign resident.

Start thinking of uprooting yourselves back to your yeast because if the liberal Yoruba who were the only ones to offer you their homes and lands to rehabilitate yourselves after the war, who will accept you in their midst ?
Is it the north that has been using you as suya since 1945 and currently have an eviction notice on your ass? Or is it the Niger Delta who chased you out and took over your properties ? Even Ghanaians that are the most temperate of all Africans chased you out and you even made the liberal South Africans to go full xenophobia .
Oga, better begin to think and breath Biafra air as that is your final bus stop.

Besides, the one that rampaging Hausa youths did on your furniture market in Deide, Abuja as a direct reaction to an ethnic squabble between your traders and common Hausa okada drivers, you guys never termed it as anti-Igbo riots and have not made it a reference point as to why you must quit Abuja.

Okoro, the point is whatever purchasing and disposable income the yeast has comes mainly from repartraired funds from outside the yeast.

Your diaspora feeds the yeast.

There is no wealth generation in the yeast .

Even a state like Kogi is more wealthy than any place in the yeast. A man in lokoja can invest in a fishing net, hook it by the river in the late evening during low tide and come back in the morning to a haul of fish which he will roast and sell to your migrants moving through Lokoja. In Igaland , there are wild cashew trees as far as the eye can see that generates passive wealth to the locals. It may not be much but it is far better than your villages were there is nothing of value .

This is the bottomline.

The relocation of businesses has been ongoing even without noise..or drama.

No need to expose the actions...just know that the revenue target of LASG has drastically reduced and that is what they are using Propaganda to mask
.

Lolz, delusional, let me tell u this. B2C companies won't be able to raise the GDP of the east.
B2B business will do that, and the igbos doesn't invest in these kinda businesses.
Any business that can be easily relocated is not a big deal.
