Karnice600:The question is: You implied Nigerian Government has never given you any benefit whatsoever and in thesame breadth you are crying that they have taken out fuel subsidy. Isn't that a contradiction? 2 Likes 1 Share |

thegooddieyoung: Since when did Manfacturer start depending on electricity ... The reason why most Manufacturing companies left Nigeria is becos of irregular power supply, is that excuse no longer tenable whatever MAN is planting as nothing to do we the hike per say BUT who Nigerians are, we are our own problem, IF things had gone the other way, Fuel price dropped, electricity price dropped .. we MAN ever come out to declare decrease in prices. It easy and convenient for so called elites to be shouting palliatives, But what most fail to realize is that there is no palliatives can give at the moment is can bring a cushion effect, lets be realistics. The only cushion effect that can happen now now as most elites are anticipating is either MAGIC or bring back subsidy But for the reasonable class that are not allergic to the truth, there is no smooth road out of subsidy regime, what can bring desired relieve is for govt to show sincerity and profound policies that will optimize productivity in Nigeria. 1 Like |

DeLaRue: Mumu. Is the country economically better on its own , barring the dollar news you keep talking about ? You suddenly know better than every other country that gets excited about dollar news, it's not a Nigerian thing abeg . With lots of things imported , is it not clear that the dollar value will affect the prices of goods. Same applies when you want to export things. Have you paid school fees for anyone abroad before ? |

DeLaRue: So,what does the government want to do with all the money if they aren't going to be shouldering these responsibilities. You removed subsidy and the costs are transferred to the masses. You don't want to fund professional bodies and the masses are taxed by these bodies for revenue , you don't wan to subsidize education anymore , and the people pay. Pay from where ? Are European nations that do free quality education and other things thinking their people are babies ? What's with defending hardship? Did Tinubu give you a timeline of when the suffering will end and where he will put the money in if not that he and cronies will embezzle them ? They have refused to increase their own salaries while the masses have become poorer from paying for everything. What's is his government going to be doing for the people? Are Tinubu and family suffering too ? |

Broh please read your comment again, it seems a bit incoherent to me. About your introductory remark, MAN is a body make up of even tooth pick producers. We need power to produce anything. Most of them run PMS generators whose pump price has increased. They are also connected to the power grid whose monthly tariff will now be increased from tomorrow. It will not be easy for the common man at all chidiokay: |

DeLaRue:Do you want to know this is so?? Because we import almost all of not all goods and commodities that we use in this country. Do you think those commodities are bought on the international market with naira?? Since the commodities are bought with dollars, automatically those that bought it have to sell their goods taking into consideration the exchange rate at which they bought their goods. Forex is scarce jor. We can stabilise the Naira better by improving on our exports if at all we have any presently apart from crude oil. 1 Like |

[quote author=Chloraseptic post=124118510]Somebody said he would continue Buhari legacy and zombies want him to be better than Buhari. Is that not stupidity.. The man is busy dishing out new policies just after assumption of office in a bid to come off as proactive president without properly thinking it through.. It's kinda like a coach who uses all his subs in first half without without thinking about how the game might turn out in the second half. [/Tinubu never play up to 15mins, he Don dey remove players. thegooddieyoung: I know what i am saying, Bro you have a point manufacturers need power but why wrap it up with lies .. Most manufacturers use plants that run on diesel. At the time subsidy was removed on diesel most manufacturers, even hotels back then hiked the prices of there services and product In Nigeria manufacturer will always cease every oppprtunity they get to hike price, i asked a simple question supposedly the price of fuel and electricity were reduced will MAN come out to declare reduction in prices of the product ?? Nig Manufacturers are bed buds .. what infuriates me the most is for every increase in the price of any product what consumers get is lower quantity or quality 😡 since the days of our fathers it as never being Easy for a common man, we just have to find a way to augment our income legit and make sure we hold the govt accountable |

GeneralDae: Now understand what I mean. Don't twist it to suit your sentiments. Subsidies were like bandages on a broken arm; an arm marred by ridiculous policies and economics. Now even if the bandage on a broken arm isn't the desired condition for anyone in such bad shape, you can't just take off those bandages when the arm is yet to be healed. That bandage wasn't something to boast about, yet it wasn't something to do without either at such moment. It was remedying a critical situation. Yes it was more of a remedy than a benefit. Removing it hastily rather than strategically is an insensitive move. Its gross incompetence. |

Crvrider:_ People like you go open mouth waa!! Kuwait has a population of 4.5 million people. They export more crude oil than Nigeria. Common sense should tell you that Kuwait has surplus of forex when compared to Nigeria when you factor in that Nigeria has a population of 180 million. |
