Truly those FB do us shege like Tammy
we can’t have them all. I support the new modality that the new nff chairman proposed in luring this foreign born players by first incorporating them in our youth teams in the future

By that means it will be easier to keep them closer to the snr national team where exceptional ones will be integrated to the team

The biggest problem hv been waiting for them to hit stardom before approaching them, by then it will become a tug of war between us and their country of birth of which they will lean more to the nation they were nurtured

The system of taking only home grown talents to age grade competition just to save cost as well as satisfy the selfish interest of coaches and big men in the football house is not doing us any good in terms of luring these young foreign born players

Ex Arsenal and Nigeria International, Kanu Nwankwo is new Chairman/Sole Administrator of Enyimba FC of Aba. He replaces Felix Anyasi.

Being an ex international doesn't necessarily translate into being a great administrator. Let's see how this goes.

How I wish everyone can claim state of origin where he/she was born and vie for any position politically in that state but in our society it is NO cuz tribalism will comes in.

Victor Osimehn is more of Lagos than Edo and nothing stop him from doing more for his Edo lineage but we cannot tell the young man what to do with his wealth.

I remember Chief Adolphus Okafor from Anambra State was more of Kwara man and Kwarans believed so much in him that he controlled Kwara football administration for many years through votings.Nobody care where he came from.

In sports, many of our sport men do much to state where they were born and raised,so do not be surprised seeing Osimehn doing much for Lagos State.

I don’t think Osimehn would go out of his way and do more to any country than Nigeria.

Osimhen is not more of Lagos than Edo.. he is Edo from top to bottom.

Chief Adolphus Okafor was able to do that because majority of Yoruba people are passive and sometimes docile especially the Yorubas in Kwara.

it was in Kwara that Afonja betrayed the Yorubas by partnering with fulan:is terrorists who were working for England to capture the Oyo Empire fortunately for the Yorubas Afonja was also betrayed and killed by the Fulan:is.. it was Yorubas from Ibadan, ogun, Osun that saved Yorubas from Kwara by killing and chasing the fulanis back across the river Niger unfortunately despite the victory and reapture of Kwara by Yorubas the Bri:tish still handed parts of Kwara to the fulanis in a peace deal or agreement and helped them create an emirate.

If not for tribalist Yorubas from Ibadan, Ogun ( which also includes Lagos in that era ) and Osun the entire Yoruba region won't have progressed and reached and grown to the level it has attained and continues to grow towards both in the 1800s and 2000s.

You can't be detribalised and expect your ethnicity to make progress because you will put other ethnicities before your own ethnicity and those other ethnicities can kill you.

Heard about the new fifa offside rule, don't know if it have been approved. The entire body of the attacker must be in front of the defender for it to be offside. Using the new rule the player below is onside. What do you guys think

Osimhen’s style of play often sees him positioned just beyond the last defender, resulting in 32 instances of being caught offside in Serie A last term. Many of those were close calls.

The new FIFA offside rule is likely to work in Osimhen’s favour.

His knack for playing on the shoulder of the last defender could now be better rewarded with the revised interpretation of offside, granting him greater opportunities to excel. shocked

That is nonsense. Strikers will stay glued to the last defender so as to take advantage of this flawed rule.

Which means they don't even need any involvement in the game to score goals. Just one loose ball and bam!

It will totally rubbish the legitimate off-side trap strategy. And defenders will only have the focus on the attackers alone

The players might even get divided on the same pitch as defenders on both sides will refuse to advance from their 18-yard box.
(kick and follow football on a high)

FIFA must be a stupid entity to court such a useless rule.

Very nonsense rule... Heard it's Wenger that's pushing for the rule...

But then, I'm not sure if UEFA and other confederations will be obliged to use the rule...

Best possible draw for Nigeria:

Nigeria
Equatorial Guinea
Namibia
Malawi
Eswatini
Seychelles

Worst possible draw:

Nigeria
Ghana
Uganda
Zimbabwe
Ethiopia
Chad
imo nothing is wrong with having Ghana in our group. Even with the clueless African guardiola coaching us they were only able to get a draw out of us. With any competent coach or even rohr or PJ we can actually beat Ghana. Seeing as there will be less pressure during the times we are going to be playing them compared to our last meeting, I believe we can actually win them home and away.

I think only the hand (from the elbow down) and the leg (from the knee down) should be considered not the full body. With this team will just defend for 90 minutes and play long balls to the striker! Not good at all!

We had injury problems then (Iwobi, and Ndidi) did not play at all.
Onyeka, and Bonke played only 45 minutes across 180 minutes due to injury.
Despite that we played better on both legs. Na away goal rule eliminate us , so rest!

The Ghana team does not have a good striker at the moment. They lack quality without Kudus!
Nothing like we no dey learn.
Even Ghana we find it hard defeating the worst teams in our group. This is a marathon not double header.
A Burkina Faso, Zambia, Guinea team are in the best form of their lives and could easily walk over many teams the Ghanaian team would find difficult to beat.

My question do we say CLEVERLEY retired due to age or what…..yes Okocha talked about age cheat and the same Okocha is in his mid 50 but claiming 1973.I watched Kanu in 1991 in Ilorin against Ranchers Bees playing for Iwuatanwu Nationals in FA cup but the same Kanu made Japan 93,so I know much about this age wahala but sometimes we need to look deep why some of our players don’t last long in football.

If you don’t know Felix Owolabi played through 70s to 90s and he is a Nigerian. We cannot just be picking holes in our players age to rubbish them.It was here someone said Moses Simon has reached his peak due to age cheat but the same Simon is being courted by Nice.
