Hello mamas, it’s been a while here. My DD is 2 now and I’m pregnant for my second. I’ve been trying to potty train her since last week and she seemed to be getting it but today we’re back to square 1.

I’ve been using the gentle parenting technique but it’s not working, please I just want to know if it’s possible to successfully potty train a child without some screaming and spanking as I don’t want to resort to that. Thanks

You will need a lot of patience. Sew patience like cloth and wear cheesy

Hope her potty is at a strategic place that is also easily accessible to her. The beginning stages are always hard but with time, she will start getting a hang of it.

Just exercise patience with her and she’ll get a hang of it. Personally, I think starting potty training at 2 is more stressful due to the crankiness and impatience of toddlers. I always recommend starting potty training once a baby clocks 1 because they still have a poo routine that can help you achieve result faster. Nevertheless, I would suggest you study your baby’s poo and pee routine, then put her on the potty at those times, you would achieve your result faster. You’ve got this mama!

For me, I believe your baby will crawl when she is ready. Especially if she's your first child, and there aren't other kids for her to play with.

My baby crawled at 10months plus and walked at 1year plus. She will be fine

Don't force her, she will crawl at her own time.

Things to do to facilitate her crawling involved letting her to be in sitting position on a floor mat and entice her with fanciful toys.

If she can do military crawling ie crawling on her belly, then introduce obstacle ie pillows on her path, this will make her to try to climb the pillows thus improving her locomotive muscles. With time she will master the crawling skill.

Make sure her environment is baby proof ie is devoid of any thing that can injure a baby.

Always stay around her as she practice the to and fro locomotive skill.

Encourage her for any improvement she made towards reaching the milestone by showering her with encomium.

Always let her be by not carrying her on your body for most of the time, this will give her time to practice.

God bless

Thank you ma, she started crawling yesterday. I believe we're to blame, she's our first so we pamper and carry her too much. But we've started sitting her on the floor and she's crawling slowly now.

Take pap, they said oats also help, but pls make sure that the baby eats, and continue to place him/her to the breast, milk will eventually flow

I'll be glad if I can get a quick response here

Please mummies and Doctors in the house should help me

My baby of 5months has been finding it difficult to sleep especially at night due to cough and catarrh and I got to the pharmacy and explained everything to the pharmacist and he gave me neofylin of which we've emptied the bottle but still yet the cough refused to go

And is 3 weeks now, I actually thought she's teething but her temperature is not hot

Just the cough and catarrh and I don't expose her to call, please what else can I give to her
Thanks everyone.
I know hospital would have been better but I'm looking at the financial aspect of it
That's why I need something simple but effective.

In this case you need to see a doctor to rule out what could be wrong with the baby.

Hey mama.
So sorry you had to go through restitching and all, you' be fine.
As for the HBP, am almost always on the low side, so I don't know about it, but adequate rest may be all you need to be fine.
Hope you have a good support system ?
Make sure you feed well, take your drugs, & rest as much as you can.
God be with you and the new born.

My baby experienced this, I was told twas gonna stop on its own, but I couldn't sit back and watch.
The first thing I did was to take him back to hospital, he was examined, antibiotics and eyedrop were given.. Was also told to get non alcoholic wipes to be cleaning the eye.
I administered those for weeks, but it didn't stop.
Having exhausted the antibiotics,I discontinued the eyedrop when some nurse told me to just get Eva bottled water, boil, leave to cool, then return back into the bottle
Clean the affected eye( from the corner of the eye to the other side, make it a one-way thing) with cotton wool & the cooled water for like 3-4 times a day.
It worked!

Good evening experienced mamas and papas in the house.
My 9-month-old baby girl loves soap, it's a very difficult task bathing her, I have to rinse each part of her body I wash with clean water, and she'll still deep her hands in the soapy water in the bathtub and put them in her mouth. I always try to be extra careful but she'll struggle with me to put soapy water in her mouth. I am so scared of what the soapy water might do to her. As a first-time mom, I don't know how best to handle this situation. I need advice, please.

Don't mind everyone cheesy Let her do her thing. She's in the process already since she sits up and go on 4. Let her be, and while you are not looking, you will see her making progress.

You can also just put colourful toys ahead of her, not too far tho, she will figure it out. Welldone mama
