Af0NjaAreLiars: You also forgot to remind helinues that Igboland has more than 90% of Nigeria's gas reserves. Once this sector is fully developed, the SE will leapfrog over every region of Africa 1 Like |

helinues: If you are truthful to yourself, you will know the government cut off many Igbo speaking communities away from the east to various zones. Igbos won't leave their brothers and sisters behind. If they remain in Nigeria, they will be maltreated, because they are still Igbos which can't be changed. The data and comfort you enjoying is from the oil/gas revenue from the east. Me, I know you fully know the importance of south to Nigeria, but you just trolling and having fun. So you think our politicians don't know the value of the south eastern part of Nigeria? Them no dey use ear won hear anything like break up. 1 Like |

post=124266827: Anambra’s derivation (just over N4b) is just 17% of Ondo’s derivation figure (N25.9b). The state was ignored on the other chart because it’s production is insignificant (the reason it’s at the bottom of your chart). No wonder helinues insists on his coke cap analogy. |

post=124266713: You’re still showing the same thing. Even with your data, only Ondo’s oil production (and derivation as seen) is higher than Imo & Abia’s oil production combined. 1 Like

QuotaSystem: See a quota-system dependent core north muslim trying to imply the south-east is ‘economically irrelevant’! The height of deceit! As we speak, you’re spending billions of borrowed dollars to construct a gas pipeline to syphon gas from the south-east to your terrorist-infested region; you’re feeding yourself fat from the oil your federal gov’t is stealing from the south-east; billions of dollars has and are being spent on gas projects in Imo state; and finally, you’re so full of hatred and envy that you had to slice a significant part of hydrocarbon-rich Alaigbo and place in Rivers state just so you can have easier access to exploit it….even to the extent of dividing an entire community into two (Egbema)! All this, yet you, a northern muslim, wants to mock south-east!? And by the way, did you consider Anambra is presently producing oyel when posting that outdated list you posted? |
Re: What's The Economic Value Of SE To Nigeria,? by QuotaSystem: 1:10pm On Jul 07, 2023 |
First of all, two drops of oil is too insignificant to be worth a feature on a full chart of bonafide oil producers. Are you high on mkpuri-mmiri? Including Anambra in a derivation list is clearly an academic exercise for accounting purposes. If you still think I’m joking, open this link and use a microscope to see if Anambra is mentioned among oil producing states in this 2023 list…outdated list my foot : https://www.withinnigeria.com/piece/2023/03/08/10-leading-oil-producing-states-in-nigeria-2023/?amp=1 If the North ceases to supply its agro-produce for a week, you know it will be kwashiorkor-galore in the East just like during the civil war blockade, and everyone would be running helter-skelter and lamenting like they’re doing now with small hike in tomato prices. Remember the onion bandits in the East? All fingers are not equal. If you weren’t economically irrelevant, by now you would have easily succeeded in twisting the arms of the FG to release Nnamdi Kanu (our special prisoner ) and caused the FG to panic just like the REAL oil producers did when they agitated and forced the FG to make concessions such as their amnesty, among others. You nko? Shooting and flogging your elders and children daily yet not even ‘Pim’ from government . Killing, beheading , kidnapping and eating your own people for years (in the most foolish, self-defeating “cut-your-nose-to spite-your-own-face” manner) without a dent being made on the country. Politically useless, tactless, irrelevant and economically negligible. IGBOSON1 have some shame for once & don’t choke on the fact that Ondo alone produces more oil than all your SE states combined. QuotaSystem:This is hope for Nigeria quest for steady power, which is coming on stream last quarter of this year, East large gas is the hope for Nigeria, Nigeria government has been avoiding exploring oil in Southeast states unlike the money they wasted in the north search for non existing oil, with gas as the future energy, Southeast will be the hub, they don't have option 1 Like

post=124272831:which hope? You guys beat your chest a lot like gorillas, there is LNG functional in bonny, that LNG in bonny paid dividends of $2b to the FG all from gas sales last year, Brass in Bayelsa that has the same topography and gas deposit like bonny is untapped, LNG is also coming up in brass, in akwa ibom, a company is building a $5b gas plant and you won't see people from those states bragging like you guys, empty barrels truly makes the loudest noise. If we're being honest, in terms of revenue generated to the country, the easts contribution is minuscule. Many of you won't agree because you're blinded by tribal affiliation, I'm from the SS and instead of splitting the country, let's all advocate for true federalism, a leaner federal civil service, each state should control their resources and send some cash to the center. Simple. That way we won't blame anybody, if your state is not working, you hold your brothers accountable |

helinues: Buhari's FG folded its arms and watched the Igbos destroy their own economy. Self-destruction is an effective and inexpensive weapon. Kill yourself; at least you can't blame someone else. One can only hope that the Tinubu government will adopt a different attitude to the problem. |

successmatters: Have you noticed that there is a process to kickstart leaving Nigeria? You have senators ad Representatives - pressure them to introduce the constitutional amendment that is necessary to all for a referendum and see whether it will not sail through the House. A person wants to leave and he is busy increasing his business interests - that's not a show of seriousness. Let Igbo please speak with one voice and threaten their NASS people with recall. You can sweeten their pain if any by offering them ministerial jobs in the soon-to-be-announced Biafra. Everybody is tired of the drama and the distraction.
