Someone close to me is about to wed and the bride has chosen the sister of the groom as her chief bridesmaid.
The bride is an introvert hence doesn't have much friends.
Some are of the opinion that it's inappropriate and awkward for the sister of the groom to be the chief bridesmaid during the wedding ceremony.

It depends on how close they are. I don't see anything wrong in that

At the end of it all, it's all about you and no one else. If people don't wanna come chop rice on that day because you do things your way, dash the rice to closest motherless babies' home and find better hotel to enjoy your husband's preek for honeymoon jare.

Surely the bride must have at least 1 person she can trust to be her chief bridesmaid whether she's an introvert or not.
