Good afternoon , please is anyone familiar with this issue ? I applied for a 10 yrs visa and by the time I got my passport it was 6 months visa on it .
Has anyone seen such errors ? Will it be fixed ?
That's a whole lot of money to go down the drain
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by opeoluwa89: 1:05pm On Jul 17, 2023
I applied for my visa over the weekend and I am yet to get a confirmation appointment email from TSL contact. I have checked my spam folder and not also there. My appointment is on Thursday, is anyone experiencing this or has experienced this?

what’s your uk immigration history like? You can make an official complaint + paid mail. It’s at their discretion to call you back and issue the 10 years or to tell you that was the intent of the ECO and that you are not qualified for 10 years at this time. I have seen it swing both ways for ppl so make sure to chase it up to get an answer.

Thank you for responding , I have had 3 uk visas , with the last one issued in 2020 even though I didn't use it because of the covid pandemic restriction. Fortunately I discovered while I was still at the TLS centre and was asked to print the first page of the doc check list that has the duration and amount I paid and was asked to submit the passport. They also requested for 2 numbers I can be reached on and was asked to register it in a book..

Thank you for your response. Should I just print the whole page under "my application" as evidence?

Good afternoon my good people. I’ve been trying for about a week to pay for my dependant visa applications. It’s not going thru, I do get payment refused due to insufficient funds or error filing card details. I’ve been using GT dollar card and access bank card. Please as anyone experienced this? What is the way forward sir/ma .

Either it will be fixed or not will depend on whether your UK visa application was approved for 10 years or not.

If you applied for a 10-year UK visa and the UKVI approved your application for that 10-year duration, but when you received your passport, you saw a visa of shorter duration, it will be fixed in this situation if you file a complaint.

If you applied for a 10-year UK visa but the UKVI only approved your application for a shorter duration for any reason, then it will not be fixed in this scenario, and the difference in fee will not be refunded to you.

Your best option now is to file a complaint because it could be human error.

Sorry about this but please make sure you are not looking at the "180 days duration" written on thier visas to conclude it's 6 months visa while actually it's a 10 year visa, talking from experience.
Mine was granted for 10 years but when my brother who received the passport on my behalf opened it and saw the 180 days duration, he told me i was given 6 months, i nearly fainted !
I told him to scan it and send to me and there and then i looked closely and saw another place on top written valid from 20/06/23 to 20/06/33 which is 10 years duration !

Please I need advice. My POF is maturing tomorrow. I used 1000 as rate but the rate as at today is 1015. What can I do? I can't afford to start POF again. Please who is in this boat or who knows what I should do?

I would advise that you pay some amount in tution to your school like 1k pounds to assist the difference and have them issue new CAS to state the effect of fees.

if they can not, ask them to give you a note or documents to state the effect that you have paid the amount, so you can attach it with your Statement of Account.

Alternatively you can give your POF a few more days to get that 1000/£ rate which is very risky too perhaps a miracle can happen

note that UK calculate their rate with https://www.oanda.com/currency-converter/en/

May God ease our affairs
Please note that this is not a financial advise as am not an expert
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by oluwaVaz(m):
Cashmadam:
1. 6 months statement of account

2. If you are employed, Letter from your employer + all documents relating to your employment (6 months payslips, offer letter, promotion letters, salary increase letter, confirmation letter, ID card)

3. If you are self employed, CAC documents, 6 months statement of your business, evidence of what you do, tax clearance (if you have it, If not, don't worry) + 6 months statement of your personal account

4. If you are married, marriage certificate and data page of your spouse's passport

5. If you have children, their birth certificates and data page of their passports

6. If you have assets (e.g land, house), documents of the assets

7. If you have investments (e.g stock) , documents of the investments

I don't claim to be an expert. I'm employed and my husband is self employed. I listed what we have used for years.

Let me know if you need more clarification. Good luck!
Hello, I have been doing business for more than two years now, but I got my CAC 4months ago, hope it won't be a problem if I want to apply for tourist visa this September or October?

Should not be an issue.

Pay some money to your school to reduce your outstanding tuition fees. Or use a second account for your POF. Good luck!

Nigerian dom cards don’t work for UKVI or at least, in my experience. I’ve tried using my GTB dom card for visa fees previously and it didn’t work. Also tried using it for paid mail, same thing, payment declined

Try using a foreign card
