I did a lil digging on Elyh Harrison. Saw him saving shots against City. I guess we would've swallowed more morsels of goals if he wasn't the one in between the sticks.

Looks quite decent with his feet too. I'd be happy if he can provide healthy competition with Onana and Matej Kovar in about a year or so. You can never tell how youth players will turn out eventually.

If he will ever be a healthy competition he is a minimum of 3 years away. He still has 1 year left in the Under-18. Then you have Vitek who is 19 ahead of him. Then Kovar who is 23 is ahead of Vitek.
Harrison is probably going to be too small to make it as a top goalkeeper but his reflexes and passing are excellent. He is not just decent with his feet o, he has heart attack inducing confidence like Onana.

Age is not a barrier. Meslier was barely 20 when he started keeping for Leeds. If you're good enough, you're old enough, especially with the qualities you just listed.

He may be competing for the top spot way before the 3 years you earmarked. Anything can happen, esp in youth football.

How can you be so poor that you're the 5th choice CB, you're not getting picked, you're the captain, and you're not ashamed or embarrassed!?

Hardly do you hear it that a player was relieved of his captaincy status and he thought announcing it first would score some points.

And it's not as if he decided to drop the captaincy due to shame, no game time, and a burning desire to go elsewhere and play. ETH had to strip him of the title!

If ETH wasn't ruthless (like Ole) and sacked him, I'm sure Magwaya will still be running PR and hoping to captain the team from the bench.

Meslier was keeping for Leeds o not Man Utd. Players break through earlier in smaller clubs especially in sensitive positions like GK, CB, CF.

My main issue with him is his lack of size. Unless he has a late growth spurt it’s probably not going to happen for him. I can’t see into the future but the chances are very slim.

Magwaya is shameless. His dear John letter even made most fans more infuriated. l guess he was trying to wipe up sentiment. But what I dnt really understand is his impressive form for England. last euro comes to mind. like smbdy said here his being strip of captain v taken alot of pressure of him . Greenwood, Rooney, Rafael, Rashford all broke into the Man Utd senior team in their teenage years na. I'm not going to rule it out, even though I'm aware his chances are quite slim. Rashford was way below the pecking order when he got his chance.

Greenwood was a goal machine CF that had to settle for RWF position. Even Rashford was eventually moved to the wing. I never said I was ruling it out. My point is the chances are so slim especially with those ahead and because of the position he plays, that is even if one discounts his small size.

P.S Rooney broke through at Everton (small club). He was a teenage record transfer to us.

1 season of Under-18 is too early to start having hoped in a keeper. For one, will you donate the inches he needs. He is less than 6ft tall.

People usually add maybe 1 or 2 inches after that age IF LUCKY. They will use corner kicks and cross and nod to woundjure him in the EPL.
I didn’t watch his highlights. I watched several full games. He is stylistically a ten Hag keeper but beyond that his chances are very slim.
