I just applied for my visa over the weekend and paid with my GTB Dollar MasterCard and it was successful. What bank card are you using?

Good morning. Can you share how you went about it? Perharps others can learn from your experience. Thank you.

Did you move the funds from your Dom acct to the card acct because if you didn't do that the payment will fail since the acct isn't funded .
I have always used my GTB dollar card and no issues , I have used 3x this month for visa related purposes for self and others .

Thanks for quick response. Yes I have. Just damn tired. All I could got is payment refused. And. There is like 2k usd on the card. Some told me it’s ukvi website. Pls have anyone pay for visa fees of recent?

I have a few questions as I plan to use my GTB card soon (I used another bank in the past):

1. How do you get the account number for the card account? I only got the dom account number
2. How do you move the funds from the dom account to the card account?
3. Can I pay cash into the Dom account?

Thank you.

Contact the bank or check your mobile app. Probably the card account hasn't been linked. The card account is different from the Dorm. Call GTConnect at the back of your card for assistance.

Update!!!!!

Received a rejection email for one of the kids. Apparently she was banned few years ago so automatic denial for her. Her mother said she was unaware of the ban as they used an agent then and he only told them the visa was denied but she can’t remember seeing the denial letter.
No update on the 2nd child yet. Tracking shows received by DMC.

Hi all…just to share something. My daughter’s birthday is in a month time and we already got visa to spend the entire period in Uk but now we decided to take 2 of her best friends on the trip. I applied for Uk visas for the 2 kids (both 8yrs old).
I am the sponsor so submitted:
my employment letter
payslip
account statement
Booked flights and hotels for the trip.
Visa data page (I and my kids all have 10yrs Uk visa)
Pictures of my daughter with her best friends from when they were 3yrs old till now they’re 8 (sleepovers, Christmas family group pictures)

From their parents:
authorization letter
copies of parents passports
kids birth certificates

Only mistake i made was not submitting the school documents of the girls (like fees payment or report sheet) as I always do for my own kids.
I also realized we should have submitted their parents bank statements showing they’re also capable of funding the trip. I really hope this won’t affect their chances of getting visas.
One of the kids had been denied Uk visa before but while filling the application, I surprisingly didn’t see the space where they ask if you have ever been denied visa before? (Has anyone noticed this?)

They both did biometrics on friday 7th July and e-mail came today that it’s has been received at the decision making office.
We are all so anxious 😬
Will keep you all updated
Ps: the authorization letter from parents were court certified

Oh sorry about that. Let's hope for the best for the second child. I've never heard of a ban imposed on a child.

Sorry for replying late, I didn't see your message on time. I was still a student in the uk by the time i applied so i used the following:
1. Student ID card
2. Letter from school confirming I am a student
3. 4 months bank statement (I had about £6000 in it as the closing balance)
4. Hotel Reservation
5. Flight ticket booking (i paid an agent 10k to help me with this booking)
6. My travel itinerary (Typed a word document to show places i wanted visiting within the days i will spend in canada)
7. International passport
8. My Travel history (only travelled to germany at that time).

The application took 7months before it came out last month.

Thank you once again .... I have been granted the visa too. Mine took 2weeks ... Probably due to having US already.

I am quite surprised. Don’t know the full story as the mum says she didn’t see the refusal letter then.
It would have helped to know on what ground a child was banned.

If the agents falsified docs he would not want the parents know he goofed.

Please how long after you did your biometrics for the Schghen visa did you pick up your passport.

It took me 5 working days to receive pick up mail for my schenghen visa. But if you add weekend then it’s 7 days total.
Yes I believe the agent must have falsified documents or so. I sha hope the documents they gave me for this particular visa wasn’t falsified because I have been asking myself many questions.

1. 6 months statement of account

2. If you are employed, Letter from your employer + all documents relating to your employment (6 months payslips, offer letter, promotion letters, salary increase letter, confirmation letter, ID card)

3. If you are self employed, CAC documents, 6 months statement of your business, evidence of what you do, tax clearance (if you have it, If not, don't worry) + 6 months statement of your personal account

4. If you are married, marriage certificate and data page of your spouse's passport

5. If you have children, their birth certificates and data page of their passports

6. If you have assets (e.g land, house), documents of the assets

7. If you have investments (e.g stock) , documents of the investments

I don't claim to be an expert. I'm employed and my husband is self employed. I listed what we have used for years.

Let me know if you need more clarification. Good luck!

You can start from January 2024.

They will give you what you applied for - if approved.

As a first timer, safer to apply for six months. You can get 2 years as a first timer but it's a risk so decide if you are ready to take that risk.

Depends on your personal circumstances. Will someone provide accomodation and feeding? How long do you intend to stay? Many things determine how much you need so I can't quote a random figure.

Good morning the gurus in the house,

Plz a friend did an additional payment for his school fees just because he doesn't want to top up his POF as advised on the group here but he's yet to get another CAS from the school yet and he's expected to apply for his Visa by today(19th July,2023).

Plz what can he do during his VISA application?

He has his evidence of payment to the school and the a call was made to the school who replied that his updated CAS will be sent to Home Office.

Please, how do one answer "How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?" if I am going as part of my family and someone is taking full responsibility to pay all bills

Let him attach evidence of payment. The ECO can view his CAS and will see that the fees has been topped up.

But plz when filling his Visa, should he state the 3,500 deposit he paid which is on his Present CAS or he should state the 4,100 which is the total money paid but still expecting CAS.

A few questions to ask; You have stated she is an integral part of the landlord association. so is she a homeowner? If yes, you can evidence this with property details.

Secondly, are you gonna be responding for her accommodation only?

Lastly, did your brother fund any part of your schooling or upkeep?

Overall, I think your brother in US should provide a supporting letter to state he would be responsible for her travel (visa application fees and flight ticket) and miscellaneous expenses during her 10 day visit for your graduation. He should also state the amount he will support her with and can also include a statement that he already made some transfer to her account for her trip. It might also help to include his bio data page of his passport as well as yours.

Thank you so much @segun889. My mum picked up her 6 months visa today. I stated in her application that she’ll be spending 10 days during her visit, is it okay if she decides to spend 3weeks instead?

Thank you
