Just go for skill assessment as a Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering draftsperson.
Student visa should be your last resort if you have experience and qualifications that align.
Thank you

To be candid with you, there are no "cheap" schools especially when you consider the exchange rate. You'd have to go for the one you can afford. Also, would the course lead to PR? If no, try to reconsider the course.

Skilled migration is better than student route. The benefits are numerous. If you have the time, do an analysis of what it takes for the two; skilled migration and student route. Then make a conclusion on what you feel it's more economical and beneficial to you.

That band score is achievable, some have done it and some will still do it. You can be among the latter if you commit yourself to it. However, you can try PTE if your course accepts it, it seems easier to pass than IELTS. People tend to pass that more because it's more of AI and once you're familiar with the templates, you're good to go.

All the best in your decisions...
Thank . Please do you have any materials to share for PTE or links to get it?

Hi guys, currently im waiting for my visa outcome and is expected to be out by early august, although I deferred my admission to Feb next year because that is the next available date. my school has resumed already and they made it compulsory for me to defer, but here is the catch, once I get a new coe and upload on my immi account, would the embassy give me my visa august, despite it being 6 months before my course starts or would it have to be close to when my school is about to resume before they give me a decision on visa application?

Please when did your school start ?
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Firebox: 11:21pm On Jul 18, 2023
Since money is not an issues, and you have IELTS, then chec for schools from the following categories:
1. Regional schools
2. Australian university group of 8 (Go8)
3. Level 1&2 schools

you will be at a good advantage when its time to Get Visa to study in the above listed schools .
Sidmond:

Thanks, I just wrote IELTS, not sure the universities to apply to (though I've started my application at UWA) for Masters Degree. Funds can be sorted.
Can you recommend good universities please? Thanks

When your visa arrives, your expected date of arrival would probably be November this year since you've deferred to next year February

Guys pls i am very disturbed.
I secured admission into WSU to study MPH March 2024 intake.
My agency just told me that my bank statement has increased to 30million cos of current FX rates.

Now i don't know. Is it the School, the agent or the country because that money is causing me headache.

Is this the same experience anyone else is having right now?
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by penitential(m): 7:30am On Jul 20, 2023
The 30million is the proof of fund required.

Because of the currency float, it has increased fork 18m -20m initial proof of funds.

I wrote to my school international admissions concerning deferring since resumption is on 17th of this month and I can't meet up cause I applied for my visa on the 19th of May.

Thankfully they have September intake and they only mentioned issuing a new COE. I hope this helps.

I suggest you write them and confirm.

I applied on 24th May. still waiting. I have had to defer my admission. Have any may applicant gotten their student visa please?

Let me share my cost effective trip to Adelaide.

At the time I wanted to book my flight from Nigeria, it will cost me approximately 1.4m. So I decided to transit through SA.

Nigeria to SA = 205k (Air Cote d'Ivoire)
SA to Adelaide = 550k (Qatar Airways)

You don't need a transit visa in SA, it is written on VSF and SA home affairs website. I also confirmed from SA embassy in Abuja before the journey began.

Just hold 5,000 extra for Nigeria Immigration Officer if them wan talk rubbish. I move smartly, didn't go for my bags in SA, I inform Qatar that my bags is with Air Cote d'Ivoire and they pick it up to my next flight.

You can use a dollar account to pay for your flight from SA to AUS. Naira card is not accepted. My friend in SA did that for me.

My waiting time in SA to catch the next flight is just 6hours. If you can take the risk, it worth it.

I end up saving 600k +

Thanks

What’s up bro. I do like to have a conversation with you based on how you were able to do the whole process. On your free time. Can we chat on WhatsApp or any instant messaging platform

Hello everyone,
I will be so glad if any on this platform can answer my question as I have asked several questions with no response here. I would like to ask if I can make use of POF arrangement that I will have to pay 3.5 percent or it’s not a good idea to make use of such POF, because this new rate will not let me come up with 30 million and how many months will I have to wait before I can put in my application when I use the POF.

And also, did they give you a specific date you can come in because they granted you about 4 months before your school resumes. Congratulations once again
