NEC Dumps FG Social Investment Register, Says It Lacks Credibility by Islie(op): 6:34pm On Jul 20, 2023

The National Economic Council (NEC) presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima, has dumped the national social register under Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for lack of credibility.

The council, instead, proposed the implementation of a cash transfer programme for states based on their social registers and a cash reward policy for public servants for six months.

The decision was part of the outcome of the over five hours meeting by members of the council at the state house on Thursday.

Why is abusing FG every blessed day affecting you? Is FG your father or your mother?
The FG is clueless and useless to be handing over monies to states. The FG is showing that it can't get anything done right and I suspect this is a plot to buy the support of the govs by looking the other way while the states loot the funds. This FG is going to go down as the worst in history and an emblem of incompetence

So after the review,this is what they came up with? Still can't believe that Tinubu/Shetima removed subsidy without plans on how to cushion the effects on masses. It is now they are doing "trials" on palliative measures.Can't say I am surprised though but it is a shame!!
