The Flash .....6.5/10

Clearly this movie was judged poorly mainly because of Ezra Miller and not necessarily the quality. The CGI most people were even screaming about all seems to be a fvvking farce. It's CGI was decent. It only looked choppy at the very end with the running scene with both Flash and Kara and the time and space continuum. Asides that, majority of the CGI was good.
I didn't really enjoy the fight with General Zod, it wasn't end to end and didn't live up to MOS standard or half of that. It was decent overall and enjoyed the Batman fight scenes better.


People just used Ezra Miller as a cover to hate this movie. I'd be closely watching it's streaming numbers to actually observe if people didn't really care about the film or were just following the crowd and hearsay.

This just easily shows why some people needs to be shut off from social media. The baby scene about Ezra Miller putting a baby in a microwave was so overblown and out of context it threw people off. The CGI sef, many of those people posting it took screenshots from bad looking upscaled CAMrip and made it the face of the movie.

Overall, the film was good and was just punished bh folks mad about Ezra. Nothing else.

There was nothing to care for, the antagonist was just there, the story wasn't intruiging. I liked the super girl character but she was like a side kick...

Ezra Miller yes, but I don't think he was the only reason The Flash didn't do well. Don't get me wrong, the movie wasn't bad as most folks painted it be, neither was it great, it was just ok.. And those complaining about the microwave scene, it was just humor.

Back to the main point, having followed the Flash series especially season 1 from CW, I expected way more from the movie. The storyline lacked depth and exposition. I am not saying they should have gotten into details, but they should have least borrowed some idea or concept from the CW Flash, ideas like particle accelerator, dark matter, mach 2, multiverse etc.

Infact, the whole movie seemed more like a comedy movie, they made the Flash a butt of joke. Ezra Miller's acting on the other hand was just menh, even when he cried he didn't elicit any form of emotion. Have you seen the CW's Flash Grant Gustin shed a tear? To cry go hungry you I swear, you literally feel empathy for him.

For the CGI, asides the color riot he creates when he travels through time which can give one a migraine, the others are actually ok.

Well it all boils down to preference. And based on that I'd say CW's flash season 1 had a better, believable, and compelling expository story in comparison to this Flash.

Yeah, I know there is no definite rule for time travel. But seriously, how can 2 of you be in the same place at the same time and worse even share vital information amongst yourselves and yet there's no repercussion.

The whole movie seemed rushed and don't even get me started on the plot holes. Barry was in a lab were lightening strikes some chemical and splashes all over him thus giving him his super speed. Somehow, Barry who's was splashed with a combo of lightning and chemicals recovered within a few seconds of the accident and gained his powers immediately

Again, I don't remember them telling us who killed Barry's mum in the movie. Flash alters the timeline by placing the can of tomatoes in his mum shopping cart and somehow, that can of tomatoes prevents the death of his mum, like seriously!. The director Saying in an interview that Barry's mum was infact killed by the reverse flash. So let me get this straight. When Barry altered the timeline in the past and prevented his mother's death, so, it was a can of tomato that prevented the reverse flash from traveling through time and killing his mum...
.... Personal, I kind of prefer the flash origin story from CW.

I keep saying it, the movie painted the Flash as a butt of joke. We see the flash begging for food and stealing food from folks. One or two humor is good, making it a thing.....Hmm! When it's not Shazam, why all these shenanigan.

The repercussion was clearly there, the younger Barry would forever be lost in that time loop and even if both his parents survive they would never know where their son is, older Barry was also lost somewhere in the multiverse even after helping exonerate his dad (the wrong dad btw)



I agree some aspects of the movie felt rushed and if people just talked about that instead of the CGI it would have been better, the origin story was straight out of the comic books, you're really just nitpicking right now



It was the can of tomatoes that made Barry's dad leave the house and get implicated in the first place, replacing the tomatoes wasn't meant to keep the mum alive but to exenorate the dad.
We all know who killed Barry's mum and it was smart of them not to mention him in the movie, the Reverse flash should be officially introduced in the new DCU.

Some of the jokes didn't land well and that's because some parts of the movie felt rushed like I said earlier but generally Flash is a quippy character even more than Shazam bordering on Spiderman levels of quips even.

You guys have enjoyed movies worse than Flash on this thread, make Una cut the movie some slack abeg.

Anyone who watches the CBM space closely knows DC beats out Marvel when it comes to CGI
and costumes. It's only the recent DC movies that you can say DC has fared poorly which MCU movies has suffered the same as well.

Ken brings this patriarchy to Barbieland and revolt and take over Barbieland with other men. The women have to fight back and regain control.

Now here is where it gets worse...

Barbie apparently refuses equal rights with men in Barbieland...
She says that the men in Barbieland will only be given equal rights when the women in the real world have equal rights

Spiderman 2 won best visual effects at the Oscars,Saturn awards and 3 awards at the visual effects society awards.


X men:DOFP got nominated for best visual effects at the Oscars, British academy awards,AACTA awards and won 2 awards at the visual effects society awards.

Into the Spider verse won 4 Visual effects society awards.

We all know how the Oscars gets very bias with DC unless when faced with overwhelming approval from the general audience.

We all know when it comes to marvel how critics suck up to 'em.
This is clown comparison when the MCU overall has released 32 movies. Compared to the DCEU's 14 films overall. It begins to look funny when MCU drops at least 3/4 movies per year for the past 6 years. Obviously its chances at nominations & awards would be way higher. It's not that hard.

Yet, no MCU film comes close to Man of Steel, BVS or ZSJL in terms of CGI or VFX. Aquaman outclasses any shite Wakanda Forever can dream up, yet we all know the one the OSCARS nominated for Visual Effects. The Oscars have incredible bias towards DC long before the MCU was a thing sef. So rest.
Abi no be here we dey wey Oscars refuse to nominate The Dark Knight for Best Picture for fear that a comic book film would win it when it was very clear that movie was easily amongst the best for the year, despite the same movie earning an historic 8 nominations.
