kingthreat:We are watching, they said the refinery would kickstart in July/August but I doubt if this would come to reality. the only possible way out of this subsidy wahala is to have a functional government refinery, Kawai! |

SmartyPants:As I rightly asked... Why do u feel mocked over a mockery that doesn't exist except in your consciousness? Since u have your Google and you are informed, then u should be able to answer d simple question. Or is d answer not in your Google? Aren't u informed? They have started repairs on the refineries? when did they start repairs on d refineries? |

gabbytabby:Offpoint. That's not what I asked 6. Is the course of action taken so far improving the lives of nigerians or is it making it worse? How is the course of action at 75%? What is the 25% that is left to be done? Since u say you "know the smugglers, the cabal and the economic saboteurs behind the subsidy", who are they? Can u pls name them? What is the Dangote option? What happened to the four refineries option? |

Yes that is the solution sell those refeneries to the private sector or private individuals to operate and run. then those refineries will start working and fuel will be refined locally in nigeria and the price of fuel, disel, kerosene will be cheaper... simple Is just that nigerians like to suffer you saw how Buhari APC government put nigerians in hardship for 8 years and nigerians still voted the same APC government into power again and what do you expect? |

Ventura1:what it means is to privatised those refinary so it can be managed by the private sectors while the government will only regulate prices, we know that's one of the best decision any government can take... But noOo they won't, because they know how beneficial it is to their bank accounts...!! |

Pdp may have been moving slow but it was surely moving nigeria forward with all its presidents APC na back back It was the simple reason we supported Atiku. They know how to bring in professionals like Ngozi to do the job. He had a plan that was workable. Mele Kyari collected over 3bn dollars from buhari to fix the refineries and gave Dangote billions of dollars in cheap exchange rate and equity still no refinery is working. If you sell it to oyinbo it will begin to work under a few months and you can still have subsidy by buying discounted from the refineries |

SmartyPants:Having seen my share of privatization procedures across the globe while working in finance, I can tell you categorically that merely designing the bidding scheme for a privatization can easily take a year, let alone seeing it through to conclusion. The notion that a new government which hasn't even appointed its ministers can carry out a proper privatization in 2 months is bordering on science fiction. You also missed an important part of Adeyanju's statement, which is that rightly or wrongly, they should bring back the fuel subsidy until the refineries are working. No, I didn't miss this - it's just one more item of the many that I criticized as nonsensical. With what money would the fuel subsidy have been continued? Surely not that of the foreign lenders who have been plugging Nigeria's financial gap until now. And if the money was supposed to have come out of the federal government's IGR, what happens to all those outstanding foreign loans it was already struggling to pay interest on? Keep in mind that these burdensome loans were actually taken out in an environment of low global interest rates, so even if any lenders were willing to roll them over, it would only be at draconian interest rates at minimum 5% higher than before (and here we are talking of rates in USD, not Naira). As for the idea that the fuel subsidy would only stick around "until the refineries are working", that old chestnut can only be sold to those who fail to understand that the fuel subsidy is the main reason why the refineries aren't working in the first place. It's hard to keep refineries in working order when their output is being sold for less than they cost to produce - where would the income for their maintenance come from? Adeyanju is talking nonsense on stilts, attempting to score cheap political points by promising Nigerians that there is some magical formula for reform that involves pain without gain. One would think more Nigerians would recognize such empty promises for what they are by now, but apparently the desire to believe in economic miracles is simply too ingrained. |

We saw the light and canvassed for the best choice but Southerners chose to sacrifice the future of the country on the Alter of "Southern Presidency". I will never regret supporting the Unifier himself, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku (GCON). |

Fugazy2023:He got no plan, who removes subsidy with no palliative, since Dangote Refinery is coming onboard later this year as we were told, why not wait. Whether anyone supports Tinubu, Atiku or Obi we are in this shit together |
| Re: Hardship: 'Borrow Atiku's Plan' - Deji Adeyanju Begs Tinubu by Fugazy2023: 7:16pm On Jul 21, 2023 |
patrickcollins:He did not remove Subsidy. Buhari did not include provision for subsidy in the 2023 budget from july 2023. You don't expect Tinubu to add to what isn't in the budget or you want the country to borrow for fund subsidy? About palliative, you people should relax. Palliative is coming. Don't rush him and let him have breathing space to do his job. He is less than 2 months in office. Your messiah Peter Obi can't do more than what Tinubu is doing and that is if he is intelligent and bold enough to even do it |

I’m Dying Of Cancer, Allow Me To Return To Nigeria – Diezani Begs Tinubu • Compensate Me By Supporting Iyan Zazzau To Be Speaker – El-rufai Begs Tinubu • Deji Adeyanju Begs Peter Obi To Step Down For Tinubu To Defeat Atiku • 2 • 3 • 4
Buhari Breaks Ramadan Fast With Ministers • Court Orders Permanent Forfeiture Of Diezani Alison-Madueke's $37.5m Mansion • Wike Disowns Suit Against Atiku's Candidacy
Now he rigged himself in and is bereft of idea on how to pilot the plane. As long as Thiéfnubu stole Nigeria's mandate, he will be fooling around bereft of idea until he is kicked out to Gambia where he belongs. Nobody can mock GOD. Nobody!!!
