Ex-Lagos deputy gov blames Nigeria’s problems on God’s anger, corruption.

The first elected deputy governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, has blamed the problems of Nigeria on God’s anger, falsehood, wickedness to one another, and corruption.

Ojikutu said God was angry with Nigeria because the nation had decided to follow falsehood, adding, “and we are worshipping too many deities that are not for God.”

The former deputy governor, in a statement made available to journalists in Lagos on Thursday, also stated that Nigerians are wicked towards their neighbours.

“We are wicked to one another,” she said.

“People owe you; they have the money and they refuse to pay. The government owes workers; the government has the money and it refuses to pay the workers and they say they should not steal.

“People are using human parts for money rituals to match the status of people who have stolen from the treasury.

“Our priorities are wrong. We have gone to the dog with our morals. We should turn to God sincerely and ask for forgiveness. People should turn to God for mercy and He will have mercy on Nigeria and give us rulers that will not punish us,” she added.

Ojikutu further said, “The country has been sold,” adding, “What should have been used as a provision for us has been used as a deal.”

She noted that the government makes laws that have criminalised almost 99 per cent of Nigerians.

“The only solution Nigerians know now is to break laws because the government makes laws that are impossible not to break.

“When things are difficult for people, they will break the law. So, people look for shortcuts in order to survive and in the process, they break the law.

“Think about those that bypass electricity meters or those that forge their certificates. If you read the Holy Book and look at what is happening in Nigeria, it shows that God is angry with this country. Everybody must be prayerful because God is angry and giving us a chance to repent, but we are missing that chance every time,” she said.

While condemning the hike in petrol pump price, the ex-deputy governor said there was enough money to rescue the nation’s economy, therefore, there was no need for such a hike.

She said, “This hike in petrol pump price should not be, we know where the money is. There is enough money in the hands of a few to rescue this nation. It only needs a courageous patriotic leader to change the narrative.

“Our commonwealth in the hands of the few can be ploughed into the economy to revive it, create jobs, carry out massive reorientation, tackle terrorism with determined security and make agriculture attractive.”

If I insult this one now, people will say I am insulting elder... But they won't see when elder refused to respect herself undecided

The current hardship could have been avoided if her fellow politicians including herself hadn't plundered the country into coma, and then Bulaba came and compounded the problem by removing fuel subsidy without putting any major measures in place to cushion its effect..

You are so correct.

These people engaging in this inhumane practice are so silly, stupid and extremely ignorant.

Every election season produces new candidates
And things get more worst in state and fedral level

Many hope on Osun and Anambra new gov but things didn’t change but got worse
Even at fedral

We have to change mindset about this government creating better life for us

Wickedness to one and other. Man feeds on man, and government feeds on citizens. We should stop pointing fingers, we are all involve. We all needs to change our ways to get out of this mess. God has nothing to do with our suffering

its beginning to seem God is been unfair at least not everyone is evil and corrupt, The large chunk of the innocent are the ones bearing the brunt. Thank God final judgement boils down to the Almighty. well it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God

When some men of God predicted that Tinubu won't win d election which he eventually won through trickery, we all shaded and insulted the men of God forgetting that the corruption in Nigeria of today can upturn God's mandate to benefit their selfish ambition. What we r facing now is testimonial to the fact that Tinubu was never God's choice for Nigeria. May God have mercy on us who never believed in Nigeria politicians.

who like Tinubu before? Only crumbs eaters and tribal bigots are singing for tinubu.

You Eboes are the most perfect in God's creation! You call the other ethnicities names which you're naturally christened with and you make out like you're infallible. So who's a bigot, the leader of a people who anchored his hustings on the Nigerian Church and who at several forums demanded that "the church and Christians must take back their country" because according to him, the election is a religious war?
