All those ogas wey dey shout "there's no difference earning in ($ € £).., inflation go chop am or make am look useless,...una funny die The rate at which u own online is not fixed like those pale looking monthly wages the government/private bodies are paying....the rate at which u earn online is faster n more promising.... Yes after earning online($), u go spend am in naira buh there's a difference, monthly salaries n wages are fixed but online earnings aren't (wether it's an active or passive online earning, it's more rewarding than what is being offered here by the government). Yes o you can withdraw ur dollar earnings, convert am to naira n then inflation affect am. U go see shege o.......buh the ones wey dey earn locally here go see premium shege It is well for naija our father land...(who know if our father never sell the land self) |

jrusky: ^^^ On the contrary, what is needed is integrity and sincerity of purpose. And the current administration lacks both. You cannot remove 'fuel subsidy' that affects ordinary Nigerians and keep government convoys with over 100 vehicles at a go. It makes no sense. You cannot remove 'fuel subsidy', 'unify exchange rates' etc. and then leave key reports & white papers on public sector reform to continue gathering dust in some rusty old cabinet somewhere. The current administration does not have the ability to lead by example in these difficult times. It just doesn't. And so...while ordinary Nigerians will be taxed and billed to the gills, BAT and his crew will continue to have ALL their expenses borne by the public purse. Does this make sense? Nigerians will learn the hard way. |

jrusky: ^^^ This is what people say when they cannot begin and sustain a plausible, coherent argument. If you want to trade insults then look elsewhere. I have no time for silly name calling and unnecessary insults directed at people I don't know. My problem is with bad policy and unethical behaviour by government officials. jrusky: ^^^ If you wish to engage in insane discussions, by all means go ahead - you'll just have to find someone else to do it with though. My emperor? Ok. |

OneMillionBTC: Sometimes it's better you take the back seat and learn if the subject of discuss isn't your forte. Nigeria isn't generating enough forex to saturate the market, long as this happens, the black market would continue to exist. Thank you. |

post=124577659:not the banks but the government. see this problem came from the excess borrowing Buhari did. as at today Nigeria external debt is 42 billion dollars. Remember that OBJ... God bless him. Nigeria dont know what that man did for them.. he assembled a sound economic team and negotiated for debt relief which they got 18 billion loab forgiven and they paid 18 billion. then slowly Nigeria government started Borrowing... from China, EU, World banks etc. and this comes with debt servicing there was even one time they wanted to borrow 30billion dollar before covid-19.. it was Saraki led Senate that blocked it. almost 80 to 90 percent income is used to services this loans and not to talk of subsidy payments.... that's why they had to remove subsidy. The government don't have fx to pump into the bank to meet foreign needs. this brings the arbitrage you talked about when voting in any one into the position of president most especially Nigerians most look beyond tribes and religion and vote sound minds.... truth be told the past administration over borrowed and i doubt if they listened to professional advice or just advice from criminals who want to loot and don't care for Nigeria

77up: I am a northerner by tribe and a Christian. My Vote for Obi was purely on integrity level and genuine interest in the people's growth. From campaign levels and allegations on the candidates, if you love honesty and truth, your candidate is far from making a candidate talk of winning the election 1 Like |

Central Bank of Nigeria official is problem to fx.ote author=Badgers14 post=124559906] You know, something I never quite understood is why would one need dollars when Nigeria currency is naira. If anyone want to pay their supplier or pay for this kids education or medical bills abroad the simple way and common sense way would be to just walk into your bank and complete a form, the bank withdraws from your account and complete the wire transfer for you at an official rate. The system of going to buy dollar in the black market and pay into your Dom account to effect these transactions are ridiculous... it's not like your bank will physically carry the cash to the foreign account where the payment is going. We just k ow the right things to do in this country but will not do it!![/quote] |
