I really need to ask a question, Sabastine this, Ajakaye that… For a start are they better than the ones picked for the World Cup or Are this two young Ladies going to bench Uchenna Kanu, Monday Gift or even Esther Okoronkwo or you guys are talking of just mere inclusion into the team??
Simple! Inclusion. That's all. It will be highly delusional of me to want them to be outright starters at this World cup even if that is not such a big deal seeing the number of starters from age grade players so far. I'm even taking this stance more cos of that time excuse we've been using since 18th century. Sometimes, these newbies have better confidence than some starters.(Abiodun has proven that)

But inclusion. They were supposed to be here. But as i said, selection headache btw two elephants can't make them considered one bit.

Sabastine and Ajakaye are very much talented and the possible future of the SuperFalcons attack, but are you trying to say they’re of the same level with Linda Caicedo right now?

Have you guys taken your time to compare their level of play?..

Forget it Linda Caicedo isn’t even playing like an 18yrs baller but someone who’s already in her 20+

Let me not bring in Vicky Lopez here.!
They are the same level..

it's the same way people on this thread were denigrating Abiodun and Demehin inclusion in the starting 11 but they ended up been the best players on the field.

Without Abiodun and Demehin Super Falcons would have lost that match by at least 3 goals.

The energy Abiodun and Demehin brought to the midfield and defense is also needed in attack and the only young attacker available that can bring that energy is Gift Monday.

The only problem the SF have in attack is Onumonu because she's too slow.

Gift Monday, Kanu, Ajibade, Ajakaye, Sebastian or any other fast player would done a better job than Onumonu.

Linda Caicedo plays like Flourish Sebastian

while Gift Monday, Ajakaye and Ajibade are better footballers than Linda Caicedo..

Only Gift Monday speed almost gave Morroco heart attack.

Slow attackers like Oparanozie and Onumonu are always letting important goal scoring chances waste.

in the last world cup, Oparanozie couldn't tap in a cross from Ajibade due to her slow pace.

In this world cup, Onumonu slow pace is killing super Falcons counter attacks..

If Messi had Onuachu's speed when he was younger would he have been the best player in the world?

You don't see them as been on the same level because they are Nigerians, you should remove such thinking from your mind.

Thank goodness players like Osimhen, Chukwueze, Orban, Boniface, Awoniyi, Moffi, Oshoala are changing the narrative.

Is it the same Onumonu that brought some spark to our attack ?
Demehin that was shaky suddenly becomes prime Maldini to have prevented three goals indirectly .

You make emphasis on speed; what's pace without technicality?

No disrespect but I take it that you spew things that aren't valid or you probably have a different view from what's glaring as the truth.

If it's intentional, fine but if it's not you'd need to rethink your points.

Lastly, in recent time, it's an error to compare Ajibade to Caicedo.....

I don't care what anyone says but I'm very much opposed to Team "let them wait for their time"

We can't even carry the best players of the u17 and u20 world cup like countries that participated in. Yeah, Imuran and Demehin dey but... Forwards?? None!! Well, I'm not pretending we had a selection brouhaha, but we meuve.
There is something you left out. We shouldn't do this because other teams are doing same. Quality should come first. Deborah Abiodun is an example. The coach felt she can be a stopgap till Ayinde comes back and she was picked. We're lacking numbers at the back which made it easy to pick Tosin and Rofiat who are already pros. You think if we have an exceptional forward among the U17 and U20 sets, we wouldn't pick her? Flourish is good but still raw. Physically, she is not there yet. As for Ajakaiye, she is good but not there yet at all. All she has is raw pace. Her decision making and finishing is poor currently. There are also Esther, Bello, and Idoko.

With time, these girls will develop and they will get their chances.

Inclusion? at the expense of who? For a friendly tours, I may agree. But for a World cup? No please. We are not running charity slots in super falcons.

Demehin's 1st World Cup match so yes she should be shaky and despite that shakiness she was the best CB and in the right position to clear passes and crosses..

If Onumonu had speed she would have cut into the box and placed the ball properly into the net... she was already past the defender, but due to her lack of speed she had to take the shot quickly.

I didn't compare them I only mentioned Ajibade's name due to pace...

Ajibade is older and better than Linda Caicedo they can't be compared, its Ajakaye and Caicedo that can be compared but even at that Ajakaye is better.

You don't tell people to rethink their points and never ever say "no disrespect" when you want to intentionally disrespect someone... If you want to disrespect someone then disrespect the person there's no need for a preamble.

🇮🇪Abbie Larkin believes Ireland can win their remaining matches against Canada and Nigeria:

“We can get six points against Canada and Nigeria. We have a really good squad,” she said on talkSPORT.

“We’ll put Canada under pressure and hopefully finish our chances.”

Ajibade —— Onumonu —— Esther

Uchenna Kanu as Super Sub for Esther, Franny Ordega, Monday Gift and Oparanozie to come in..

All fine. But the reality is even if we see players talented than the ones I've been hammering, that mentality is still there. We know it is a serious Nigerian thing. We all know. Shebi this man even fought to include her name, else she won't be here. But we move. We have to drop that mentality across all our teams. It's not helping. The excuse given to back it up as well.

Sidenote: so our world cup Goals vs conceded is triple inferior? If 63 is GA and -43 is GD......that means na only 20goals we don score in 8Appearances(32years)!!!

Yeh!!! My chest!!!!!

Big inference then.

This makes more sense. For me either of Esther or Kanu works. Kanu needs to be made to work on her defensive responsibilities. She can be a liability defensively.

A lot of apkruka analysts and tacticos in this thread but those that actually know ball are very few in number.

People too wey wan force unpolished youngsters down the throat of the team and everyone else, oya na. You don’t know that there’s supposed to be a progression and u-20s football is different from senior ball where you’re playing against professionals and not your age mates you’re better than. That only works when you’re a special talent and not every good player you see on TV is that.

Even tho that agenda is dead on arrival, we dey here.
A stream of thought typical of backwater dwellers. Countries of substance fielded 16-year-old players to represent them during the current female world cup.

I believe everyone here knows Halimatu Ayinde Capabilities, We know what she can offer and there’s no way we would be Comparing any other midfielder with her in that Position… Her major Problem back then was misplaced passes which is has grown past, But Yes everyone makes mistakes which is part of the game…
Ayinde is an accident bound to happen, period. Field her at your own peril. She is good for stoppage times.

Monday Gift is construct of Nigerian skewed idiosyncrasy.

How on earth would you know the answer to your question when Sabastine and Ajakaye are not futured as did Linda Caicedo? Esther Onyenezide can shoulder up with Linda Caicedo if she had been given the opportunity.

Nigerians tend to be sentimental when it comes to youth players.. I recall seeing comments about the last batch of u-17 boys being better than the super eagles because they played some food football... Lol

Ajakiaye and Flourish are talented players that still need time to develop. Especially with respect to their decision making on the ball .. if there's any player in the cadet team I would pick aside the trio of Abiodun, Imuran and Demehin, it would be Esther Onyenezide because of her creativity...

She just has speed for now, while Linda Caicedo has speed, tricks and crazy finishing ability! Scored U17WWC, U20WWC, second game for Real Madrid Women and now Senior Women's World Cup! Please let's know what we're typing on this thread sometimes o before mods ban person for unlawful comparison 😂✍🏾
