I am a liberal at heart, I believe in a world of tolerance for all that different from me. I want progressive change in the society and dread the effects of the hard right however on this issue of transgenderism, I am torn on this issue.

What causes transgenderism, are you guys in support of them? What about children who claim or "feel" that they are trans? Should teenage puberty blockers be allowed? Should their natural growth be distorted based on how they feel?

I saw this thread I'm posting below and I felt a lot of dread. Should anyone pass through this? Should transgenders truly have a highlighted role in society worthy of emulation?? Guys help me out here.

I don't want to sound like a hateful conservative who doesn't care about the comfort and role of others in society but I need to know how liberals truly feel about this issue of transgenderism.

As a Liberal, I am not an idiot so I understand with common sense and want to see the bigger picture. I have nothing against what adults want to do with their bodies as long as they are adults that is their business as long as no one is being hurt so identify as whatever on the surface I don't care.

However, as a Woman who identifies as a feminist, I do care and I agree with J.K Rowling, Chimamanda Adichie and radical feminists on this issue that transwomen are not and can never be women.
Biological men have no business in women's spaces, children should not be allowed to change their sex because they do not understand the consequences or gravity of their actions.

Also, criticising transwomen for wanting to come into women's spaces is not transphobia.
Let transwomen have their transwomen spaces and leave women alone.
I am a woman and not a cis woman, I can't be a subset of my gender, a woman is a "human adult female"/ not a surgically enhanced one.

As Germaine Greer stated womanhood is not tied to feminity so saying that because you have boobs and wear make-up, have long hair and heels that make you a woman then that man is mad.
Biology exists for a reason XY can never be XX and vice versa. All those nonsense about men seeing periods is rubbish because transmen who they say are men are biologically still women same as non-binary women.
We must never discard biology and women especially the ones who claim to be feminists should stop being stupid and tell these confused shemales that they can form their clique and that feminism is not about the inclusion of biologically confused men into women's spaces.
I do not agree with Matt Walsh and those people on the right and how they frame the trans issue, those are just full of hate and spread propaganda. That is the difference between radical feminists and other liberals who criticise transwomen we do it from a place of fact and the real-life consequences disproving reality/biology while embracing delusion can have on the general safety and well-being of women. There were whites who were slaves too. Africa was a trade center for slaves, everyone was going there to buy slaves. It was not like they went there and captured the slaves. I am not entirely sure about that... But I know there were trade between the white man and the black man.
