All fine. But the reality is even of we see players talented than the ones I've been hammering, that mentality is still there. We know it is a serious Nigerian thing. We all know. Shebi this man even fought to include her name, else she won't be here. But we move. We have to drop that mentality across all out teams. It's not helping. The excuse given to back it up as well.

Sidenote: so our world cup Goals vs conceded is triple inferior? If 63 is GA and -43 is GD......that means na only 20goals we don score in 8Appearances(32years)!!!

Yeh!!! My chest!!!!!

Big inference then.
That's another problem sha. And it's not limited to the falcons alone. Gift Orban was firing left and right last season but his name was left out while Musa who couldn't score a single goal got invited.

Bro, I'm a big lover and fan of Ajakaye, but guy stop! This is disrespect to Linda Caicedo I swear. Ajakaye that is not even really good in front of goal? She just has speed for now, while Linda Caicedo has speed, tricks and crazy finishing ability! Scored U17WWC, U20WWC, second game for Real Madrid Women and now Senior Women's World Cup! Please let's know what we're typing on this thread sometimes o before mods ban person for unlawful comparison 😂✍🏾
Haaland, Osimhen, Mbappe, Kane don't have tricks.

They just have speed, positioning and accuracy.

That's what makes a striker in 2023.

That's what Oshoala and Ajakaye have in common.

Nigerians tend to be sentimental when it comes to youth players.. I recall seeing comments about the last batch of u-17 boys being better than the super eagles because they played some food football... Lol

Ajakiaye and Flourish are talented players that still need time to develop. Especially with respect to their decision making on the ball .. if there's any player in the cadet team I would pick aside the trio of Abiodun, Imuran and Demehin, it would be Esther Onyenezide because of her creativity...
I agree with you bro. I can even make a case for Omilana if one of Yewande or Oliehi leaves the scene after the World cup.

You forgot to add the most important factor, FINISHING. BTW the only thing out of those you mentioned which I can confidently say Ajakaiye boasts of is speed.

This is what I expect of Alozie attacking foray. The way Lucy Bronze goes high up the field because she's covered defensively

Yash wrote on Twitter:
Germany deployed Huth at RB once again today against Morocco & it was fun to watch the instructions play out on the field. #FIFAWWC

•Brand (RW) coming narrow & dropping deep
•One of the midfielders slotting as the outside back situationally
•Buhl high and wide on the left
This German tactics can easily be nullified ( Assuming the still images above is their standard setup and there's no interchange, and 3rd man runs from midfield ).....All Morocco need do is just set up in a two banks of four, shift from side to side as a unit depending on the position of the ball on the field, employ wide midfielders instead of wingers and have them defend the half spaces, have a target man/woman and a shadow striker/SS who just blocks off passing lanes and also fast enough to counter. Employ a deep or mid block ( Preferably Mid block so they can get up the pitch when needed to support the 2 attackers.... Germany isn't a tiki take team, they're more brute force, fast and direct )

The Germans will just resort to passing the ball amongst their CBs and whichever midfielders that drops deep.

Accuracy determines finishing.
She has positioning, speed and finishing..

Her accuracy needs to be improved... That's why she's usually the highest goal scorer in qualifiers.

A stream of thought typical of backwater dwellers. Countries of substance fielded 16-year-old players to represent them during the current female world cup.
So cus they fielded, we should field too? Who has the gutter mentality here? Sule

Do you people even think as to why those youngsters that play do play? The only reasons as to why that would happen is either because they have a small talent pool to choose from hence, she’s the best they could find or because she’s actually a special talent that is head above others not only in that team but amongst her peers in the world.

Let’s look at the "youngsters" you compare to our dear ajakayes of the world.

Colombian teenager, Caicedo who’s a key player for Real Madrid, WON MVP AT COPA AMERICA OVER STARS LIKE DEBINHA, GEYSE, YAMILA RODRIGUEZ AT 17

Salma Paralluelo - A key player for Barcelona which is arguably the best women club in the world (alongside Lyon)

Guila Dragoni - is on the books of Barcelona

Maika Hamano - won the Golden Ball (best player) at the recently concluded U-20 WC

Melchie Dumornay - Another of one of the best young players in the world and recently signed for Lyon, one of the best women team in the world as I mentioned before if not even the best.

Casey Phair - the 16 year old that was fielded by South Korea, no reason except so she could break the record as the youngest ever at the WWC

Now let’s look at the CV of our own

Ajakaye Opeyemi - FC Robo
Flourish Sébastien - Bayelsa Queens
Monday Gift - UDG Tenerife

Now tell me what achievement or exceptional qualities these girls have over the ones I mentioned above them that play for their countries, I’ll wait. Shouting exposure like the ones that are playing are doing so by accident or it’s exposure that made those ones better than their peers.

Are they better? No. Are they record chasers? No! Are they even better than anyone currently on our team? No. But let them enter like that cus it’s their birthright.. mtcheewww. Better drop your phone so you can go outside and touch grass

There are factors that come into a youngsters getting into a team. It’s been explained here today but since you refuse to read and learn, you continue to wallow in your ignoraminy.

Sometimes, these fixtures are arranged in a way that it would favour the host nations...even group E will play their games first before we face Australia.

Is it the same Onumonu that brought some spark to our attack ?
Demehin that was shaky suddenly becomes prime Maldini to have prevented three goals indirectly .

You make emphasis on speed; what's pace without technicality?

No disrespect but I take it that you spew things that aren't valid or you probably have a different view from what's glaring as the truth.

If it's intentional, fine but if it's not you'd need to rethink your points.

Lastly, in recent time, it's an error to compare Ajibade to Caicedo.....
Those guys are really stubborn. Sometimes I wonder if they really understand football.

Ajakaye, Sebastian and Gift Monday meet all the factors to be in any team..

If Gift Orban, Victor Boniface, Terem Moffi were Europeans they will be playing for better teams but according to self hating people like you they have to be consistent and be playing for a top side before you rate them as talented and good enough.

That means you're incompetent, lazy and self-hating because you have to wait for Whyte people to rate your fellow country people highly before you yourself have the confidence to also rate them highly.

Its you and your likes that needs to drop your phones because you do not have the intelligence to scout and pick the best Nigerian players in Nigeria because you already degrade and denigrate just because they are Nigerians.

If you were a scout you will fail miserably.

Werey tun tabon

anyways, I gave valid points to back my argument that the youngsters who seem to be regulars for their country are of exceptional qualities and because of so happen to play in the top sides.

There was no where I mentioned that they have to be playing for a top side to be considered good enough so you trying to gaslight and twist the narrative so you can cry fowl not only shows how inept your thinking faculty is but also proves that you and your fellow minions are incapable of comprehension so no matter how much you try to play the victim card, you won’t get any pity here.

That being said, if I reply you or your circus again, lemme bend!

It's not sentiment. Its the fact that we have taken this mentality for decades with virtually nothing to show and prove that it is the best to adopt as a pattern over the decades. We see other footballing nations giving chance to players in developing phase and they got better. The question is "can't someone be developing while getting exposure at same time?" Or is there any rule or stats that prove it is highly detrimental to our players? Now this same Esther you picked, we all agree she is still developing, but we know that she can do stuff if she gets a spot. The two can go hand in hand.

Or are the u17 players fielded by other nations as talented as the Nigerian ones?

We just need to bin that mentality. It is working for many. Why is it suddenly so different when e reach our side?

How else does one garner experience and team spirit if not by inclusion?

If there are no surprising moves, there will be no revelations. Sentiment or not.

All these are for tomorrow sha. We meuve.

Ajibade is better...

Its colonial mentality to speak negatively about your fellow hard working countrymen and women.
Ajibade and Ordega have been abysmal lately o. Especially if you judge by their recent games for Falcons. The ish is they are in big teams, but they can't show same in GWG. Always. Like always!!

There are already 3 of them in the team. I doubt we have gone to any WC without the cadets. 4 years ago Nnadozie, Ogbonna, Chidinma Okeke (long pass to Oshoala) Ajibade, Kanu etc were in the team. 2015 we had Oshoala and 2011 was Oparanozie, Okobi, Orderga, etec.

Youth players are not infused for the sake of infusing them. It is disciplined, planned and processes which NFF lack as administration. With respect to the young stars I doubt there is anybody in the team they can easily dislodge, and facts be told, the current SF are actually quite young themselves.

How else does one garner experience and team spirit if not by inclusion?
