We just have to avoid defeat tomorrow by every means possible. Easier said than done though.

Christine Sinclair has more international goals than cristiano Ronaldo (190)
She has more than 300 caps
She has scored in five WC

Ireland battling for survival, if they lose this match, then they are out. If we can avoid defeat against the Aussies, then we would have qualification to the next round in our hands in the match against Ireland. Of course it would be great to beat the Aussies, but that's asking for a miracle, which of course does happen.

If there was a time to get a result against the Australians it will be now that they are missing a few key players. Pray Waldrum gets his tactics spot on tomorrow cos we certainly have the players to get the job done.

Exactly!!!! We are no match for Australia at the moment coupled with home advantage again for the Mathildas. Now, we need to give Randy his flowers, he has played a couple of matches against grade A teams and he has never suffered humiliating losses like Zambia and Morocco have already suffered. Even when logistics were against him, he didn't lose scandalously against Japan, US and Canada. His major blip has been playing against African opposition.

Do you know that Northern Ireland is 18 places ahead of Nigeria on FIFA rankings?

Forget sentiments, we are the weakest team in that group.

As it stands, I'm not really putting my money on Nigeria to qualify although I have my hopes high. Our game against Australia will determine a lot.

Beating a team like Australia on their home soil will be very difficult. Our best bet is to park the bus and hope for the best.

I can bet with you that USA is getting to the finals. They don't have any powerful threat on their path.

in 2015, Germany thrashed the ivory coast 10-0. The super falcons were in this shoes chopping 7-0, 5-0, 3-0, 11-0 in 1991, 95, 99, 03 and 07
The Super Falcons 🦅 biggest defeat is 8-0 from France, Norway and Germany. Only Norway's was a World Cup defeat. Where is this 11-0 coming from boss?
Only the total goals from 2003 WC added up to 11-0, not in one match.

2007, we only conceded 4 goals before our group stage exit.

Your answer to the bolded ..Club side.

The ones invited to the national team, were they not part of the U20 teams? Must we fill the team with all the U20 girls?

Different countries with different structures. Oya name the U17s in this world cup and let's check their profile. For the last time, that other teams are doing so doesn't mean we should do the same. Those who included the U17s in their team did so due to the exceptionality of the player or due to the fact that there is no better option.

I'll let this mata rest. But i know the clubside stuff. I'm just countering that age long mentality which i believe you know exist. Many will be at clubs but will still not get it.

We better beat this Aussies. Two more key injuries. We have virtual no excuse now.

Two of the game's most ruthless scorers. What happens if they meet on the pitch? 🤖

Looks like both won’t be on the Pitch tomorrow either!

Norway star Caroline Graham Hansen has apologized for lashing out at head coach Hege Riise but stood by her frustration over her benching at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Norway star Caroline Graham Hansen has apologized for lashing out at head coach Hege Riise but stood by her frustration over her benching in Tuesday’s scoreless draw with Switzerland at the World Cup.

A regular in the starting lineup for Norway, Graham Hansen was brought on as a second-half substitute Tuesday. After the match, which ended in a disappointing draw for the Group A favorite, Graham Hansen voiced her frustrations in a TV interview.

“It’s tough, I don’t know what I can say. There’s not much I can say, I feel like I’m standing here with my hands tied,” she said. “I feel I have been stepped on for a whole year — everyone says all the time that we have to stand together as a team and as a nation, but I feel I’ve been on the receiving end (of a raw deal.)

”Nothing comes for free in life, but I thought I had earned a certain amount of respect, but maybe that wasn’t the case.”

She apologized Tuesday, saying that “emotions got the better” of her after the match. But she also noted that she still “strongly disagreed” with Riise’s decision to leave her out of the starting XI.

“I just want to apologize for my statements after the match. I’m just a human being with a lot of feelings,” she told reporters. “Emotions got the better of me. I took the focus away from what matters, and that is being here to play the World Cup.

“I respect that the coach decides, and she has the right to do what is best. I know it causes unrest around the team, when I speak out as I did yesterday. It was… not the rational me.”

She also addressed her comment about being on the receiving end of a raw deal after Riise was appointed head coach, again apologizing without backing down.

“A year ago I was removed from the leadership group as one of the first things Hege did,” she said. “I also disagreed with that, but it was not relevant to yesterday, and should not have been referred to. So I apologise for that. I want to do everything to help Norway further.”

Riise accepted the apology and said Graham Hansen is still a part of the team’s plans for its final group-stage match Sunday against the Philippines. Norway needs a win for a chance to advance to the knockout stage.

“She is genuinely sorry for her emotional outbursts, not only now, but also a bit back in time,” Riise said. “There is no reason why this cannot be a success story. We had a crash, now it has to be reset and then we will continue working forward.”

That’s an extra big goal for the Dutch because the last time the US trailed in a WC match was against Australia at the 2015 WC, where the U.S. eventually won 3-1

After Waldrum’s contract is over, who should take over as permanent coach?
Ann Chiejine, Wemimo (sp), Dedevbo, Akide?
