This hardship being experienced by most Nigerians are man made. Something must be wrong somewhere. If you can recall Nigeria is practicing mixed economy, now everything is mixed and at the same time capitalist who are now politicians kept exploiting the masses. A good example Tunibu spent billions to get elected as president right from primaries. He didn't spent the good money for Nigeria or Nigerians. He is business man and I am pretty sure he will recover his spent money with interest before he leave office. 2 Likes |

Zxcvbnmghtr: You read my message and the only deduction you made from it was the "topographical error" I spotted? It's quite amusing how some of you sling the "poverty" word at users who make to point out the inefficiencies of those in governance. If you're not such a dumb fvck, you'd have surmised that getting a decent enough education to put words together in the fluid manner I do, isn't an intellectual pursuit you achieve with peanuts. But it's not surprising that your reasoning can be that defective, seeing how you're unable to distinguish between "topographical" and "typographical". Such a colossal dunce! 3 Likes |

Akpabio Responds To Criticism Of "Let The Poor Breathe" Motion by naptu2: 9:47am Worst slogan ever is this crappy , "let the poor breathe". Anyone with a modicum of knowledge on world history knows how mischievous those trying to trend this slogan are being. And, actually, I'm generous , the more accurate label would be to attach wicked and evil to them. It is a very destructive slogan coined by very selfish, mischievous individuals that mean Nigerians no long term good, placing, as they are, thire political motivations and ambitions above the future well being of the very poor they pretend to care about. A better slogan is , " let Nigeria breath!!' the mases of Nigeria should never be brainwashed as they are by these people to expect first world social provisions on the architecture of a third world country like Nigeria. The ambition is good and laudable but not the expectation that we should have had it yesterday so let us hold the people in power handsome today. And one of the worst aspect is hamstringing authorities by labelling the very things government does, or intends to do in order to lift the people out of poverty, as rights violations or cruel and insensitive, for example raising taxes, demolition illegal structures, investing in national security, or significant projects. Anything, other than lowbrow ameliorations such as doling out bread to the people in long lines. People of civil society , allow that, poor, third world country called Nigeria breath for god sake before you finally break her , exposing the very poor you pretend care for to the abysmal wilderness that is shabby , poverty stricken Africa of war, hunger and strife! |

Senator Akintunde that moved the motion is a Yoruba man, he knows well an adage in Yoruba that " pele lako, o labo" means the tone you say sorry matters most. It is not their fault its all lies on people who always sells their birth right for a plate of food, and that is why they are making life difficult for ordinary citizens, so that they we will not have the mind of ourselves, but surely Good God of Heaven will deliver us from their hand. Even those in PDP and Layout Party we expect to provide reasonable opposition to their wicked policies are keeping quiet in the house, its unfortunate. |
