Tithe is not for everybody, it's for those who have the revelation

Don't take your tithe to the church that curses you.
God said," Bring your tithe, not give your tithe.

You bring to someone that has done a lot in your life with love

Tithe is a generational blessing.

It's not any Pastor idea, it came from God Himself and He will never force anyone or curse anyone for not bringing it to Church.

Another way to scam. Tithing is not compulsory. I grew up Catholic and while growing up it was only Sunday offerings we did. Most parishioners never tithed. The priest never preached about tithe. It was later sef i knew there was something called tithe. When there is a building project or there is need to buy generator or repair church building a special offering is called and people are asked to donate for that specific project. Not people tithing and no one accounts for the money. Some Christians will even say they don’t care what their pastor uses the tithe for, that it’s between the pastor and God. Imagine such foolishness. Religion is really an opium.

there's still offering then from the wealthy what you would say is it's not compulsory to give tithes and offerings... Besides giving in church isn't bad cos church as an organization needs money to run the issue is the accountability of such money and how mostimes certain members don't benefit much

St. Mark 12:41 Jesus went over to the collection box in the Temple and sat and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts.

See them, they are ready to criticize any truth from the Bible because they refused to read from the Holy Scripture but rather wait for a man to read the bible to them

If you are indeed a Christian given your conduct on this forum, then something has to be wrong somewhere...

Some of you people from certain backgrounds really need to take your Christianity beyond being a member of a popular church to the level of knowing what it means to be a Christian...

You don't use money or material things to buy your way to God while undermining the weightier things as Jesus admonished in Matthew 23 v 23...

Knowing God and building ones Christian faith on the fruits of the spirit are much more beneficial than approaching the faith from a legalistic if not transactional perspective...

Giving is central to the Christian message but it MUST not be compulsory...

A Christian who neither gives to their local church or to the needy is clearly walking in disobedience or rebellion...

A practising Christian filled with the Holy Spirit and operating with discernment doesn't need any legalistic mandate on tithing to give.

You give because Jesus expressly commanded it.

You give because you love God and his creation...

You give because you were created in the image of God and operate in similitude to his attributes...

He so loves the world that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON....

This is an excellent idea!
Most churches only talk about the command to give tithes and offerings; but would ignore how God instructed Priests to use the tithes: "that there may be food in my house". Every member of the congregation should benefit directly from the total amount received as tithes and offerings.
Sadly, the reverse is the case in Nigeria.
E.g, most of the Church members cannot even afford to send their children to schools built largely from tithes and offerings! But this was not what happened with the early Missionaries. Many poor children attended Methodist Schools, Baptist Schools, even Apostolic Schools.
God bless this initiative.

💯 in agreement. But the money lovers and money mongers whose God is their belly has turn it into mandatory taxation, threatening doom and curses if you don't give...They say no prosperity for who no sow seed, tithe or offering.

Read the OP again. Member of this new church are not forbidden from supporting or funding the church programs and initiatives.

The only difference is that nobody is passing offering baskets round or telling you to raise envelops of money or threatening you with hell fire if you don't bring 10% of your money

Do you realize that the offering described in that passage was completely voluntary?

As In they are not passing offering baskets round. A box was kept somewhere and you can go drop whatever you have decided to give.

No seed faith, money pledge, covenant seed or any of such things we see today

Freely you receive, freely give... Give to God, give to the poor...when you give to the needy, helpless, naked, hungered, you are giving to God.

God is not just a diety. This is the mentality that has driven people to look for money by any means just to be among those donating to church.

Politicians will come and pay tithe of money embezzlement from government. Yahoo boy will give fat offering from proceed of fraud and we clap for them.

I have trekked to church without offering many times before. Why should I stay away from fellowship just because I don't have offering??

In your opinion, Is God more concerned about my money or the salvation of my soul??
