Morning Guys,

Please if I want to invite my mother say in the next 6 months.

Is it too early to start depositing money in her account ? Though she's a pensioner but just to be on a safe side.

And what else do I need to do for those that tried inviting their their parents.
You don't even need her bank statement, yours only is enough.

Guys is it true that when you change industry your ilr countdown will reset (for example changing from a nhs sponsored job to a graphic design sponsored job that is not under healthcare)?

Also

Is it true that even if you change enployer under same industry your ilr countdown will still reset (for example changing from a nhs sponsored job to another healthcare sponsored job which is nhs but still under healtcare)?

They will still do a hard check for application. But at least, there's an eligibility checker first so he can know whether to proceed or not.

This is not true. He would typically need her statement especially as a Pensioner. I think that will just show them her financial situation is consistent with what was stated in her application. Also, I always advise the applicant to contribute to her trip if she's earning: say, Β£100.

LOL, not really that. Priorities just differ. Some people send Β£150/hr just to get 1 hour time with escorts but they wouldn't come out to say they spend that.

I was spending so much back then on food because I was doing my normal 9 - 4:30 job in the UK and another 6pm - 2am job in the US(contract). I barely had time to cook and besides what's the point of spending 1-2hrs cooking when my 1 hour pay out of the about 17hours I was working could get me already prepared meal? However, those days are behind me now. I have returned to solely focusing on my regular job in the UK, allowing me to allocate more time to my family, personal growth, and pursuing my own projects.

Β£2,400 annually on clothing. Some people might be spending more here but don't know. The issue is that many folks don't closely track their expenses and would be in for a shocker if they do.

Exactly! I was only able to figure this out by looking at outgoings at the end of each year. I'm certain people spend more than that here. It might not be on clothes. It might be gadgets, vacations, etc.

It’s not correct that ILR counter resets if you change industry. What matters is the time spent in different visa types. Industry is irrelevant.

Changing Employer will not affect your ability to apply for ILR as long as you have been in the country for 5 years and meet all other eligibility criteria.

Nothing resets as long as s/he's the MA and has been on a skilled visa on 5 years regardless of which industry sponsored

Well that is a couple of Hobbs dresses or 1 L.K Bennett dress.

Let me plug those 2 shops for the professional ladies here. They make amazingly tailored ,built to last ladies clothing and shoes. I believe in dressing for the job you want not the job you currently have.

Also with a capsule wardrobe, you really dont need to buy a lot

Someone who got sponsored in healthcare, then decides to switch to tech.

You can be an electrician on Tier-2 and get sponsored as a doctor and it would not reset.

The rule of thumb to get ILR within 5 years once you get a Tier-2 is:
- Once a Main Applicant, always a Main Applicant.
- Once a Dependant, always a Depandant.

Yea check Innovate 1 website for their support email (I think they also have a charge-back section or rather email NIS (if you applied from Nigeria). As last resort, contact your bank.

Collection may not take up to 3 months I think. My Son did biometrics on May 23rd and his new passport was delivered to us on July 15th.
