9ja is virtually through.

A draw for CAN v. AUS means we go through.
A win for CAN or AUS means we go through.
Even if we lose.

A heavy loss to us v IRL and AUS beat CAN would push 9ja to 3rd and go out.

As it stands, AUS must not win while 9ja loses.

Yes, a draw will do it.

Not quite. We're out if...
Nig0 Ire1 & Aus1 Ire1 or
Nig0 Ire1 & Aus3 Ire2

We didn't show clear dominance in our 2 matches, so our next match against Ireland is like 50-50. We shouldn't take anything for granted.
Hopefully, we'll get a Draw minimum.

a win will be better, not because it will help them to avoid meeting stronger teams but because it will be calculated as their performance during next rankings. funny enough our falcon is the least ranked team in this group but they have wonderfully moved to the top of the table ahead of teams considered to be better and stronger than they. we are no. 40 world ranking, ireland is no. 22 or 21like that, canada that we held to a goalless draw is no. 7 and austria whom we defeated is no. 10, nigeria was initially supposed to be a walk over base on what the fifa latest ranking said but now we are about to cross over...

let's have a look at the performance at group level and their world ranking:

group b
no. team pts w.ranking
1. nigeria 4 40
2. canada 4 7
3. austria 3 10
4. ireland 0 22

a lesson to all those who society favours more today. don't look down on those struggling. tomorrow is another day

a lesson also to our dilig its hustlers out there... keep moving
The emboldened is so on point. I was reading about Tosin Eniolorunda last week. The Engineering graduate of OAU, who founded Moniepoint. He's already on the list of Nigeria's billionaire today. When his course mates would be riding cars to school or chauffer-driven around town, this guy would enter public transport to Ife where he was schooling back then. He came from a very low background but today, moniepoint process over 400 billion Naira transactions monthly. How many commercial banks with their nationwide coverage and thousands of staffers do that today?

This gives me the insight into the AI. sooner than later, human efforts would no more count in many areas of human endeavours. It's time people started thinking out of the box to stay afloat. Do not underestimate anyone in Life. Tosin's story really excites me. Kudos to our team and I hope they would not do ojoro to our girls cos they are from Africa as the usually do. I remember the atlanta 96 olympic games. God just wanted to crown us that glory ni. The FIFA's ojoro was so glaring, just to favour either argentina or brazil.

Our Tobi Amusan is receiving the heat already. Despite being the most tested athlete by the athletics federation in the world history, they still suspended her for failing to show up for testing on 3 occasions . I pray she wins a the tribunal as the world athletics championship draws nearer. I wish the falcons well

Nigeria goes TOP of Group B heading into the final matchday, when co-hosts Australia face Olympic champions Canada.

The stage is set for a shocking exit for someone on Monday...who will that be Canada or Australia

For Nigeria their morale is very high and sure to finish Ireland

I am not too comfortable with defending pattern and counter attack. To me best defence are attack and recover quickly when you loose the ball

Nigeria has been jubilating as if we already won the cup. Based on permutations, we are yet to fully secure a place in the quarter finals.

As far as this tournament is concerned, our team is one of the most defensively drilled and disciplined squad. Their inside and outside box defending is just refreshing to watch. We avoided unnecessary penalty calls despite the inside-the-box threats we got from the Aussies and we all know any small wrong touch from an African player on a white will mostly lead to senseléss penalties. Our coach dey do work, no cap 🧢

Some people are just naturally anyhow lol 😆

No mind them. They're enemies of progress.

SPORT2023 Women’s World Cup: 5 countries qualify for Round of 16

At least five countries have confirmed their spots in the Round of 16 at the ongoing Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.

Switzerland and Norway progressed from Group A following Sunday’s fixtures.

Co-host, New Zealand became the first host nation to be knocked out at the group stages, after a 0-0 draw with Switzerland.

Norway thrashed the Philippines 6-0 in the other game.

The results mean Switzerland go through as the group winners and Norway as the runner-up ahead of New Zealand on goal difference.

Japan and Spain are already through to the last 16 after winning their opening two matches in Group C.

Sweden have only qualified and only need a draw against Argentina to guarantee top spot in Group G.

Let no one expect an easy match.
We didn't show clear dominance in our 2 matches, so this match is like 50-50.

Note: We're out if...
Nig0 Ire1 & Aus1 Ire1 or
Nig0 Ire1 & Aus3 Ire2

&we qualify if...
We Draw/Win,
or we Lose & Australia Lose.

We had our worst position at the last AFCON under this coach. From 30th to 40th position under same coach.

What you see at the world cup is sheer luck and naija spirit. The coach added nothing to the team

The team is lucky not to lose to Canada and they almost drew with Australia
both Canada and Australia are in top 10 in the world, if you think topping the group as underdog is sheer luck then usa beating Vietnam is also sheer luck tongue
