Omo, i reason with you on this oo.. my wife n I don't pray together but she is a firebrand I don't joke with .I feel her prayers are working as a cover n shield for me. Even though most times I wamt to walk out of rhe marriage but something always tell me, she is my spiritual shield and If I move out of the cover . I am finished . So my dear , I understand the power of a praying woman. Am very weak spiritually but thank God fir her .

This one just came here to waste people's time.

What's awa business, stop her from going to church too and be her pastor and her alpha and omega.

Aladeintl:

There was this popular MoG from Ibadan who do early morning prayer on Ajilete FM that I adamantly forbid my wife from listening to.

I told her, 'I am not saying you shouldn't listen to him but not under my own roof.'

I didn't banned her because the man was fake. I didn't think the MoG is fake, but I find some of his modus operandi unbiblical.

Likewise, some songs like Daddy wey dey pamper is not fit my own family. While I am around, she mustn't.

I will soon delete that song from her phone sef.

Read tales of a Nursing Dad here www.joelalade.home.blog

I once collected her purse and gave her only transport fare when she was going for a crusade organized by one prophet olororo.

What is my drift? I have no qualm with Pastor Jerry Eze and his YouTube early morning prayer ministry but it is a disgrace and dishonour to you, the man of the house, if your woman can wake up to listen to other man before you.

It's a disgrace to my fatherhood if my kids are doing morning devotion via internet led by another man and wife and kids aren't to be blamed.

Therefore, we men, should truly man up and be the leader God made us.

The likes of Pastor Jerry Eze and co come into equation because many men are not spiritual leader. He is filling the gaps created by spiritually-absent fathers.

Your wife jumping from one prayer mountain to another is because you haven't ascertain your spiritual headship in the head.

And for those joining Pastor Jerry from their boyfriend's room, just dey play ooo, dey play ooo.

May God helps us to discharge our duties accordingly.

I agree with the poster. If one is a Christian ... trying to follow the Bible ... then in the family unit the husband is supposed to be the spiritual head of the family .... not another man... not even the Pope. He doesn't mind if she listens to the TV Pastor ... but not while he is present. That's disrespectful and against the teachings of the Bible.... the beginning of the end of the family unit.

You banned your wife from listening to her preferred prΓͺcher and her preferred song? You said "not under my roof"? I can't tell if this is a joke or not, but it's on the front page, so I assume it's real. And it's pathetic the breed of men Nigerian women are left with.

I get his point in a way. The man should be the spiritual head. I would never understand men looking for women that can fast and pray against side chicks while he the man is sleeping and snoring. Pregnancy, it is the woman praying. Financial issues, woman. Disobedient chidren, woman.

The reason he is banning her upandan is because they are not on the same spiritual level and it happens all the time when religious women end up with men like him.

Anyway, everybody with their spec. They sure do find these women. I also have to give it to women, they know how to put themselves in precarious situations and fix damaged men.

There's nothing wrong with a woman being on a higher spiritual level than her husband. Infact, it is desirable that way.

A prayer warrior is one of the desirable qualities of a good wife. Men are stubborn and adamant. They know how to put themselves in dangerous situations. We need a spiritually stronger wife!

So because you're affiliated to Christianity that's why you're defending her act.

What if the OP isn't a fanatic of Jerry Eze and co, can't a man set the spiritual course for his home?

Well, when it gets to the point of INSTRUCTING your Wife, you have already failed as the Head of the home you're trying to be.

You should have molded her ideology of life to align with yours on many issues.
You should both think alike and agree in most things.

All the times my dad will make late night journeys against my mom's wish, have police cases, family issues, health issues e.t.c, it was my mom staying awake to pray for him. If not for her, my dad would have been long gone.

Your dad should have learned to pray for himself if his life is important to him or at least, stop going for late night journeys. Only a Nigerian man would put his own life at risk and expect his wife to pray for him to stay alive. While she gets older than him. Goodluck to your parents. My own father didn't go out late at night or have police cases, so my mum didn't have to do vigils praying. Maybe that is why she doesn't look old.

Save your breath jare... Such young men were poorly raised.

They think respect has to be forced out of people, especially those they disregard as "beneath" them.

They can never feel manly till someone else has bowed to all their whims and tantrums.

Weak and mentally lazy generation!

Imagine someone feeling his manhood is threatened by a song like "Daddy wey dey Pamper"! A song totally directed and dedicated to God.

Chai... That poor woman don enter!

It is so so pathetic.

Then 20 years down the line, the children would open threads wondering why their mother jumps from one crusade to the other.

A lot more needs to be done raising true husbands who are capable of leading a home especially when they claim to be Christians.

The prayer you pray for yourself in some situations might not be enough. My parents actively pray for their children doesn't mean we don't pray for ourselves.

Besides, you never know how the person you're getting married to will turn out to be. We have men that will actively drag with armed robbers, you as the wife just have to be praying for him not to get himself killed.

My mum too doesn't look old so, I don't know what you're on about! undecided

That one is even another pot of beans; ndi I want a 'praying wife'.

The ones that decide to pick up the mantle like the OP do that with so much bitterness and lack of respect what one wonders who is worse in both types of men.

Which part of the Bible supports this sir?

Are men spiritual goats that they are stubborn and adamant? BTW, spiritual goats are sinners and would not enter the kingdom of God. God only recognizes sheeps and part of their characteristics include utter obedience to God, doing His will and following his footsteps amongst others.

Do you realize Biblically that a husband should cleanse his wife with love and aid in her spiritual growth?

Jumping up and down in prayers is not necessarily sign of spiritual strength. It is mostly a sign of frustration.

A woman on a 'higher' spiritual level is a gross anomaly in a Christian home. What is the man leading if he is spiritually blind?

I think Pastor Jerry Eze is mocking God. Like everything about Nigeria, time will make him fade away. How can any sane being listen to such ramblings in an hour and still stay sane?

To progress in life, stay away from whatever many Nigerians flock towards. As the poverty capital of the world, following Nigerians' interests is like being a supporter of the lowest ranked team in EPL.

A sensible wife would yield to her husband. It's better for her to listen to later when the husband isn't available.
