He is not lying I am older than him and I and many of my contemporaries started primary school at 4, though the majority would have been 5yrs old. That law was in existence in the colonial era.

Starting primary school at 4 is nothing new.

Nearly everyone in my family started primary school at four. My immediate younger brother was barely 4 years our dad started him in primary achool

It is not strange, I started at 4 and entered secondary school at 10. Though many of my classmates were 1 yr ahead of me, I wasn’t the only one in my set who entered secondary school at 10 and therefore started at 4. In fact I know of 2 people who entered secondary school at 9.

I was born in the 80s and when I calculated things I entered secondary school the September of the year I clocked 10 years, and I didn't get any double promotions.
When I look around at my friend's from then they all entered at the similar age which means they were all 9-10-11 years and I think the "school baby" that year was 8 years old.

There was no touching of the ear law in the eighties.

I can confirm to you that it was not even there in the mid seventies.

You cannot be emphatic that he is lying.

He should be asked to present his Senior School Certificate now. What's the uproar about. His certificate will confirm whatever the doubt is. Abi e no finish secondary school ni?

He could have defended himself by saying he got double promotion at some stage.
That a candidate from your state has a moral baggage does not mean every candidate has.

People have always left school at unbelievable ages even in the eighties and nineties.

Any child that passes through Normal Educational process
WITHOUT DOUBLE PROMOTION OR SKIPPING CLASS will get to Secondary school @11years old.

In the 80s you had to touch your left ear with your right hand across your head before you could be admitted into school. Except he was born with a deformity, a four year old cannot do that!

From his comment, he's still a kid 🧒. I heard of it, but didn't experience it. I represent the 1980. Was in primary at 5. My younger brother joined at 4 (A year later)

It started in 1973. Anyone born in the 80's knows this.
