True, but there were a few private schools in those days. I remember the Children Home School in Ibadan, near St Anne's Church, when going towards challenge from malete. While public schools were admitting pupils into pry 1 at age 6, they were admitting at age 4 and 5, or depending on your stature and how easily you could catch up academically. The nominee could be right.

Sadly, the majority of those senators attended public primary schools which they've jointly destroyed today. A larger percentage of children of nowadays attend private schools. God's judgement dey wait all of them

I started at 5. My son was not even up to 4 when he started (He is now a graduate, mind you.) So what's the big deal?
When I just finished youth service and was teaching, I had a student in SS3 at age 14. Abeg, wetin be the big deal?

I don't know why people are surprised. I can't see any lie in what he's staying. It is possible he started school at 4. I was also born in 1986 and I started school at 5. There is a possibility to what he is claiming.

Well,I believe him, it's very possible,just like my own case too. I was born 1981,finished primary school in 1990 at the age of 9,meanwhile I leapfrog primary six,meaning that I started primary school at the age of 4 and ended at the age of 9.

I started primary school at age 4 and completed my secondary school at age 16.
I don't see anything "uproar-worthy" in that.

You are very correct. I can confirm what you said. I myself was born in the mid eighties and without double promotion I entered secondary school at 11.
