What kind of car are you expecting to buy with 700k or 800k in this our present economy? Can we limit this 'cruise' for the sake of genuine newbies?

Honda civic 03/04. You will need to do some work though

You always sell cars with issues!!!
There's a reason why experienced and seasoned car dealers stay away from Nigerian used cars. The ones that manage to sell for friend will not use their receipt for the transaction. E get why!

An average Nigerian lack maintenance culture and is already looking for the next victim to pass the car onto, the second the car starts misbehaving or they're done with the abusive relationship they have with the car.

Conversion from petrol to CNG-powered vehicles is gaining more popularity due to the present cost of petrol.

I myself is considering it but after some research, I'm having a second thought.

What are your thoughts on CNG powered vehicles?

My finding explained in video format.

Thank you my brother, buying Naija used cars na wahala.
Most times when u don reach house u go come begin dey see why the owner sell am, and we don't have records like some foreign used cars that the history is there.
The owner won't dare mention any of the faults to you and if u notice any by yourself they will lie that it just started, wasn't like that before.
To worsen the whole thing, agents don't care about making proper inspection, they are only interested in getting buyer and get their cut even if the car no reach house dat wan na ur business.
They will sweet tongue you into paying once you pay OYO now ur name, even if you go with mechanics there are some errors you won't still notice until you start using the car.

Welldone, but I was hoping to hear in explicit and technical terms why you think this conversion is not good, especially when it comes to explosion. What really causes it to explode, how can it be avoided? You can explain further here.

Also the background music seem intrusive and not relevant.

Any one is fine. Same engine, just that the sport has padding and boot spoilers. Use a seat cover if your buy the normal one cos it's light color and since u want to use for commercial, it will get stained easily.
Sport is always more expensive and harder to maintain cos of the padding. If they fall off and u don't replace, the beauty of the car will diminish.

Is the stress even worth it? Except it's a must that you pick them or they are willing to pay premium, they can just book a ride. There are drivers staying in Sango that leaves very early in the morning.

Thanks Boss, well if the pay is good, I might just find a destination trip.

Highway passenger and cargo transportation is a segment I currently have an investment in. The routes we transverse are manly Lagos to the east coast with offices in Jibowu, iyana-School, Festac, Awka, Ekwulobia, Okigwe, Owerri, Enugu, Port-harcourt and Uturu.

As the other member opined the seasons greatly affect this business but we have an advantage over private investors because we are a company so even if there is a shortage of passengers (due to seasonal demand) we can ‘fall seats’ and load up our vehicles with cargo (waybill items) and pay the driver his usual fueling and driving fees to take our consignments to their respective destinations. The only routes I know that always have steady patronage from intending travelers/passengers no matter the season or current fuel price situation are the Jibowu/iyana-school to awka/ekwulobia route because of the traders who regularly make their journey to and fro because of its proximity to the markets (alaba & tradefair) and their homes/shops in the east. Our vehicles carry emblems for Lagos, Delta, Anambra and Rivers states respectively at any time because we usually run around the interior cities in those states. Emblems are not an issue on the highway roads themselves as these council members are always on their prowl within the city roads.

I can give you a more thorough breakdown of fees and prices for tickets and such as it goes in the market today for individual investors and how profitable it is in case you still feel interested in embarking on such venture.

Good luck.

As Pearl already said, they are the same in and out except for the extra bumper and side skirts padding on the sports versions which make them kind of ride lower.

Floods and bad roads can break or tear off these extra parts at anytime and when they fall off the driver usually never notices it until they park and come down meaning it might get lost forever. Buying replacements is very expensive too costing as low as N20k for each single piece of any of these parts that unfortunately gets missing.

One of us here an ex driver turned car dealer sells car within this range

Just that his commission is half of the price and you have to keep another half of the cost of purchase for repairs by his team member

What do you get when you look for cars far below market value?
Market value will be 1.2m but you will say it's vehicle of 650-700k you need. There are results to every actions.
There is no naija used car that is with no fault, naija used with minimal faults will be highly priced, so you looking for a car very low should know what you are looking for. Don't blame the car dealer that got a vehicle of your worth.

The truth is most car dealers or agents are only interested in making sells and profits, and in most cases those cars with low prices moves fast.
And they won't have time to explain to the buyer or educate him, I once told someone to be eating and enjoying his money than be saying he's looking for Corolla at 1.5.
I can count a number of times people come to me and say they need so so car and I ask how much is your budget?
And I will bluntly tell the person he will get ooo but it will be laced with wahala, even if you proffer something else within their budget they say no until they fall into that ditch.
I posted one Camry and people were asking how much because it was very clean but once you tell them price they run or price it nonsense.
Some will see someone bought a car next thing they ask him how much he bought it and will start telling the person it's high bla bla.
Like my Boss will always say cheap things are not good and good things are not cheap!
At the end of the day you will still spend that same amount that would have gotten you a sound one if not more, plus the stress of going to mechanics.
