A 29-year-old Lagos State e-hailing driver and accounting graduate, Adeniran Jerimiah, was arrested for robbing a female passenger.

Jerimiah was arrested in a shop in the Ikotun area of the state while trying to purchase an item. He was recognised by one of his former victims who was in the same shop at that particular time and alerted the public.

He claimed the hike in fuel price as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy pushed him into robbing.

So tough for drivers right now. My commercial car has been at home for a month now. If I borrow money to buy fuel and run it , I will return home with #500 , empty tank or sometimes nothing. Few passangers and the available few are only ready to pay d old price at 220 per liter then.

My wife has been feeding me with different complains and nagging ever since.The world is upside down right now. I don't even know which way to die now.
