Yeah, am sure some people think I am a closet APC supporter. Yet, I do not like APC, Tinubu or Buhari.

The reason is simple. Nigeria has a problem, as do most African countries., which is, we rely on one single source of income. We also admire China and want what they have, without doing the hard work....

We have the idea that if we sell enough oil, we would earn enough money that can be shared equitably. Meanwhile we produce just as much oil, if not less, than Qatar. But Qatar has 1.2 million people, and we have 200 times that. Divide the money, and you will see why Qatar could host a world cup, while we can't, and even the World Yuth champs we hosted for U20 in 1999 and U17 in 2009 as well as the All Africa games took a bite out of our economy and made us look bad.

The palaver is, we don't have enough income to share, and we need a government that would earn us more income. But the sad thing is that once we became independent we got too focused on how to share money, not how to make money. Once we realized that the kudi was not enough, we developed a massive loan habit that we have not broken to this day...and the loan habit has deprived us of a lot of goodies...subsidy being the latest.

So, until I see a leader that is ready to take hard decisions...and no, Tinubu supporters, removing subsidy isn't it...we had to because we are broke right now, and Mother IMF won't fund our subsidy payment thing anymore...especially as IMF hates the thing called subsidy....my opinion remains that we have never had a good leader in the past, and right now.

Maybe we would get someone who would be willing to face the fact that selling things whose prices we DO NOT CONTROL...is not a nice way to make a living., and take action. Maybe...
