For me, they're the closest challenger to City.

Maybe it's the trauma of collecting 7.goals at Anfield but that their attack is title winning. Now they've solidified their midfield. They're the only team who knows what winning the premier league is, apart from City.

Our midfield is still very poor going into the new season, no CM and Casemiro is one bad tackle away from being shown a red card. Amrabat that is relatively cheap we are not looking at, Mainoo looks like the real deal but knowing Ten Hag he won't be a regular starter. We need a good CM and Amrabat asap..

We have Hojlund, Rashford, Garnacho, Antony, Amad, Pellistri, Sancho on our books. If we keep Greenwood that would be 8 players for 3 positions, all 25yrs or under. We have enough young and upcoming forwards and we should just be hoping that ETH develops them as he is reputed to be able to. Plus with what I have briefly seen of Orban I don’t think his ceiling is above that of Hojlund, Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford or Garnacho.

It’s in midfield and defence that we need to invest in young talent. Varane, Bruno, Shaw, Casemiro are all 28 and over. Our RB situation is still unclear.

So, that’s why we should buy Harry Kane (a 100m player), after we got ‘Erasmus’ on board and we still have Rashford, Martial and co. I don’t mind squad depth, but not with 50-100m players. The dressing room will never be stable if we bench the expensive back ups.

Rashford isn't a Striker. Hojlund is a 20 years old young striker moving from Italy. Might take a while to adjust. Will even be excited if he scores 15 this first season. And Martial? Are you joking?

Do you want to compete for the league or not?

We're competing against a treble winning side. Against a better Arsenal with a very established style of play that just strengthened massively. Against a Chelsea that's massively invested in the team and now has Pochetino and can totally focus on the league. And then there's Liverpool.

But nah, let's go into the season with only a 20 years old yougster as the only addition up front from last season. Let's see how far we'll go.

This same Chelsea you're mentioning ETH gave Poch 60m for a player he does not want and no bidding war. We have to start selling players for reasonable amounts

When Mark Goldbridge first mentioned that we were definitely in for Hojlund, the conversation then was he'll be like an 'understudy' to Kane or another senior striker. Definitely not an alternative.

I don't know where the sudden faith that the kid will immediately adequately fill in the role came from. I fell for this too. But this thing's already looking somehow to me.

I don't know what the real targets from the season are. I'm guessing top 4 and a trophy.
