Thanks brother.

I've checked, my vehicle it meets the ULEZS emissions standards. Please see attached and advice for next line action I can take to resolve the issue.

It's a congestion charge for driving through specific areas at peak hours - https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/penalties-and-enforcement?intcmp=2067.

You needed to have paid it on the day (£15) or by the third day (£17). You didn't and that's why you got the Penalty Charge Notice of £180.

Only thing to do now is lay - I think you can pay £90 if you pay within the first 14 days after receiving the PCN. Confirm if that's an option in your letter.

Next time use the TfL app to pay the congestion charge before even entering.

Hello guys.

I had a job from nov 2022 till date. PS its my first and only job in uk.

Now from nov 2022 to april 2023 my salary is not up to 12k. But within these months, i paid tax of about 100+ in feb,100+ in march and 80+ in apr 2023.

On the hmrc site it says i paid 0 pounds which i assume is the correct thing.

But my employers took taxes from me according to my payslips.

I feel i should have the feb, march and apr taxes refunded by now or could i be wrong?

Just call the HMRC line on 0300 200 3300. They're very responsive and will explain or sort it out for you.

Thats London with different charges!
The Congestion Charge is a £15 daily charge if you drive within the Congestion Charge zone 7:00-18:00 Monday-Friday and 12:00-18:00 Sat-Sun and bank holidays. No charge between Christmas Day and New Year's Day bank holiday (inclusive).
The congestion zone covers the following postcode area: EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, SE1, SW1, W1, WC1 and WC2
Adebayo82:
Please anybody living in London around SW should put it me through. I went to see a friend of mine at the deptford last week, and I went there with my car from Birmingham. today now I received a letter on congestion charging ( penalty charge notice) £180 , this is strange to me because I was not pack on the road neither taking a bus lane. I strictly follow the Speed limit seen on the road within the 20Mile per hour. I reached the venue before I stopped the car. moreover, my friend is new in London, he lodge in Airbnb with his wife. Is it possible for me to challenge charge by writing them back.

What skills do you have already that you can probably brush up? I don't know if there's any skill you can learn and perfect in 3 months. Another question will be how much time would you be dedicating to the learning.

Viruses:

To avoid reoccurrence, how do one make payment after driving in a congestion charging zone?

Are there paypoints around the zone like car park paypoints?

Simply pay online.......

Or register your vehicle, put a credit card on file......... Once you stray into CC zone, payments would be automatically deducted.............

NB : CC zone registration is £10 (or so).......

Good day family.

Please l purchased my flight ticket in Cotonou through a friend, Cotonou to Heathrow but this friend who is suppose to assist me to cross the border and onboard me will be unavoidably unavailable due to official assignment to Ghana on the day i ought to check in and board my flight.

Please, i would appreciate advise and guidance on the easiest or safer route by road as i heard the chances of a stranger being robbed at the border is high.

Please I will need help with this question

I just got married to my fiancée last month ago, though we have been dating since last year august before she applied for her NHS Job in the UK. Towards the beginning of this year, she applied and after several interviews a particular trust sent her a sponsorship. I want to go with her to start a family there and we have submitted all necessary documents and awaiting there response.

What I failed to understand is

Can I be granted a visa because we have not been married for 2 years??

Please I will be needing your swift response

Thanks

Ensure you go through Seme border and submit your passport for stamping at both borders. Shine your eye well though. All the best

Robbed at the border ke. By who? Unless you're not talking of the official Seme Border sha, nobody will rob you - worst case they'll waste your time (mostly the Nigerian side in my experience) with their processes and you may have to pay for random this or that but it won't be anything dramatic.

Sparky = Electrician
Woody = Joiner or carpenter as we call them in Nigeria.

Hi guys, I have been in the job hunt for a while now. I got an offer from a company as a quality control personnel which is still connected to my background as an engineer. I accepted the offer and awaiting reference checks.

I need advice my people

No harm in trying, las las no, just try

Use this (Hello [Line Manager's Name],

I hope this finds you well. Firstly, I'd like to sincerely thank you for considering me for the account manager position. Upon reflection and a deeper consideration of my long-term career goals, I realize that I may have been too hasty in my earlier decision. I am genuinely interested in the opportunity to interview for the role, if it's still available.

I understand if the position has been filled or if you have reservations due to my previous response, but I wanted to express my genuine interest and ensure I'm exploring all avenues that align with my career aspirations.

Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to your response.

If you haven't signed a contract, legally, there isn't a binding agreement.

Meanwhile you can still sign the contract, just understand the exit clause in the contract before signing should in case you want leave.

Wish you success

Move on with the one you have accepted, gain the UK experience and probably more better jobs/opportunities will come your way as you go on.

Also I just got married. My husband is a British citizen. Please how soon before I can apply for Indefinite leave to remain. Thanks all!

Without thinking twice, I would go with Coy A. However, I know that audit job is hot cake here and I am also an auditor so I know it is an occupation that is highly in demand but I will only advise you to go for B if I know the stage you are in your professional exam and we are sure you would qualify. It seems your mind is made up for coy B but make sure that your passing of the exam is sure pa. By the way, which of the exam are you writing? Do you have ICAN from Nigeria? If you do, and you are writing acca then I will ask you to opt for ICAEW Pathway as well to accelerate your qualification
