Well, the travel history part caught my attention . Travel history doesn’t really matter. Canada is my first trip. I’ve never traveled outside Nigeria before. Not even to Cotonou.

It's true, that is why we need to get it now and keep it even if our travel will 2 or 3yrs time. Delay is dangerous

You can't have billions in your account and except a visa from Canadian embassy easily expecially if you cannot prove the source.

You are just lucky to get that visa without any tangible travel history.
Canada visa application used to be the hardest over the years ago, seems the Canadian government are trying to achieve something.

Just be happy that you are lucky and applied at the right time.

Hello,

Follow the process as highlighted on the IRCC portal. I will assume they are coming purposely to visit you, so their visa application will be under the category of a family visit. And as you are a temporary resident in Canada, you will need to present the following documents:

Letter of invitation - A letter written by you to your parents. Details of expected info are below:
Travel History - A clear copy of 1 or more of the following: Your parent's previous passports and/or visas (used within the last 10 years to travel outside Nigeria), Entry and exit stamps, Study and/or work permits that indicate their duration outside Nigeria, Expired or Valid visas.
Itinerary - Copies of any of the following: flight details and hotel reservations - Very Important.
Account statement of your parents - I want to believe that your dad will be the main applicant and mum will be his spouse, Bank name and contact of his account (Just give MBS for this), Proof it is their account - Their name and address on the statement show that the account is theirs, Account details - At least 6 months of account details, including balances, helps IRCC understand their financial situation.
Employer information - If dad and/or mum still working, A letter from his/her employer can confirm that they have a stable job and will return to it. It can also show that his/her employer supports his/her visit to Canada. The letter should be printed on his/her employer’s official letterhead.
A clear color copy of his & her valid passport or travel document that he/she'll use to travel to Canada.
A completed IMM 5476- Use of a representative (IMM 5476)form - I believe you will be the one that will apply on behalf of the applicant. You need to complete this form.
A completed IMM 5645 form - This is where you will specify that his spouse, your mum will be accompanying him.

You need to scan all the pages of the passports both current and expired and join them together to attach them to the section. Also, please, let them show the financial capacity to take care of their trip themselves even if you are the one planning to house them. Tie to the home country is key, show more interest on the letter for them to come back home to. There is a section for additional document, this is where the letter of explanation will come in and if there are property documents/ business occupying their attention back home, you want to put them there together. Make sure the main applicant is any one of them that has a higher range in terms of finance/travel experience. Then your mum will be his accompanying spouse. Your letter of explanation should also be detailed and clear with purpose of visit detailed.

Alternatively is for them to visit as a tourist, on this, you do not need to issue any letter of invitation. Here, travel history, itinerary, account statement, passport, Filled use of a representative (IMM 5476) form, Authority to release personal information to a designated individual (IMM 5475) form and completed Family information (IMM 5645) will suffice.

The guru's in the house can add what I might've missed.

That not the reason for issurance of tourist visa...if canada need a thousand or more skill work today ..the express entry pool is avaliable and it will generate it just by lowering the point..statement like this is just to comfort people with visitor visa but we all know the journey to convert from visit to work or student not easy ..as people land dey go understand vv no easy life .na survival with struggle if u get the mind..all thoes on this forum attacking and throwing insult at me.. we no see them again as some of them dey Asylum camp Already .. life no balance. Express Entry is for the Highly skilled workers , Canada know reasons why they allowed and extent the deadline that allows visitors to find jobs to regualate their stay early this year till next year . It's a means to acquire more cheap low and unskilled labours into various shortage labour rural communities. Those that are stranded didn't plan well before they leave Naija . Go to remote village and find jobs in Agriculture except you're choosey and lazy .

I am not in Canada yet but I bet you I have something waiting for me even though I have no family there . It is wise to always make contacts forehand whenever you're going to a strange land for the first time .

Just wish someone will direct me on which province to visit at least for a start up, love Ontario but Based on what I got from internet it’s quite expensive for newbie and secondly where I can get company that will be able to change my visa to working visa

Canada is whatever you want it to be. It can be very frustrating if you choose to dwell on the negativity, it can also be very rewarding if you choose to plan and know what you want.

What you should ask yourself is- if Canada is the hell they want you to believe, why them never enter the next available flight back home?
