oluayebenz:Good job, good pay, yet it is not always about money? 😁 Well, the travel history part caught my attention . Travel history doesn’t really matter. Canada is my first trip. I’ve never traveled outside Nigeria before. Not even to Cotonou. |

Viking07:The fact is that Canada is in Visa bonanza which may close anytime soon when they meet the target , reason being some white highly skilled migrant are leaving back to their countries and they need cheap replacement . So just pray for your luck at this time while it's last . |

Bostin:It's true, that is why we need to get it now and keep it even if our travel will 2 or 3yrs time. Delay is dangerous |

Hi everyone Please I would like to know what processes are involved in applying for a visitors visa to Canada using a (UK)skilled worker visa |

Viking07:You can't have billions in your account and except a visa from Canadian embassy easily expecially if you cannot prove the source. You are just lucky to get that visa without any tangible travel history. Canada visa application used to be the hardest over the years ago, seems the Canadian government are trying to achieve something. Just be happy that you are lucky and applied at the right time. |

Bostin:This is true. I advice anyone and everyone to key into this bonanza. The Kenyans and Ugandans seem to be taking advantage. |

Great detailed response. Please I have follow up questions. First what are the chances for me that don't have any travel experience? Also, I want to apply for visit visa and my fiancé a PR over there would be writing a letter of invitation. However I want to know if it makes any difference in application processing times when she does the application for me and fills the representative form vs when I get all the docs and submit the application here in Nigeria myself. Thanks ChiKen2027: |

Bostin:That not the reason for issurance of tourist visa...if canada need a thousand or more skill work today ..the express entry pool is avaliable and it will generate it just by lowering the point..statement like this is just to comfort people with visitor visa but we all know the journey to convert from visit to work or student not easy ..as people land dey go understand vv no easy life .na survival with struggle if u get the mind..all thoes on this forum attacking and throwing insult at me.. we no see them again as lmia no click and no money to swtich to student, some of them dey Asylum camp Already .. life no balance. GOD DEY |

orjohn24:Express Entry is for the Highly skilled workers , Canada know reasons why they allowed and extent the deadline that allows visitors to find jobs to regulate their stay early this year till next year . It's a means to acquire more cheap low and unskilled labours into various shortage labour rural communities. Those that are stranded didn't plan well before they leave Naija . Go to remote village and find jobs in Agriculture except you're choosey and lazy . Less I forget , Carpenter , Welder ,and Plumber are just included in the shortage occupation wish gives visitors more chance than the candidate outside Canada . |

orjohn24:Problem many of you have is that you don't have proper plans of direction , you just want to follow the crowd . I am not in Canada yet but I bet you I have something waiting for me even though I have no family there . It is wise to always make contacts forehand whenever you're going to a strange land for the first time . |

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Nobody: 6:56pm On Aug 12, 2023 |
Munachimso30:lol you’re wasting your time with that man. Canada is not as bad as they paint it here on Nairaland. I am currently in Toronto. In fact na inside bank I dey like this. I’m about to open my TD bank account. Yes, they open on Saturday. Canada is whatever you want it to be. It can be very frustrating if you choose to dwell on the negativity, it can also be very rewarding if you choose to plan and know what you want. What you should ask yourself is- if Canada is the hell they want you to believe, why them never enter the next available flight back home? |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Bostin(m): 7:07pm On Aug 12, 2023 |
Munachimso30:You will need to do more research online before you move when you have your visa , Take your time to learn and find contacts or employers before you move . You can even start applying to jobs from here and let the employer aware that you already have visa to attend interview . I hope you will find luck and I wish you success . |
