Haven’t heard or read about any other force apart from the army orchestrating a coup why is it so?

Is it because the land belongs to the army while the other forces occupy air and sea?

I’m curious!🤔

It's because The army 🪖 is usually the oldest,the largest, the most dominant and most powerful branch of any military around the world.

Also the most influencial officers In the military are found in the Army. Other branches of military like the Navy and Air force are automatically below the Army in terms of supremacy and real actual power. The three military branches may appear equal constitutionally, but it's only ceremonial.

Gosh I love the military, rocking that military camouflage officially was my childhood dream. But unfortunately my entire family denied me that dream out of fear and probably also because of my gender. Smh

The navy and airforce have never countered any coup in history. Are they not fighting for the interest of the country?

Presidential palace dey for land, e no dey for water, e no dey for air. Move Villa go Water, Navy go plan coup... Move Villa put for Space, Airforce go plan coup
Secondly, the Army have Formation in all most all the state because of their numbers. Airforce and Navy only have Presence in a few states. Number of Army is almost 10× that of Airforce and Navy

Yes it's because they are the largest and most dominant in coup prone countries with sizable less educated. Actually the air Force and Navy of countries that matters are the strongest

The army is the largest and most equipped arm of military, besides, the army is closer to the president than the others, there's a dedicated brigade of army for President's protection. You can't plan a coup if you are not an insider.

Earlier this year's fitness test. Come and see how Airmen and Airwomen dey fail anyhow, so called soldiers o 10km CAS Jog/walk na always Regiment dey win am. Regular NAF soldiers no get mind and strength take it from me. Officers are even worse. Na only Army and Navy get military.

Look... Even in developed and powerful countries the Army is still the backbone of the military.
During a conflict, the Army does the majority of the fighting, because around 90% of most battles in history happened on the land (I stand to be corrected tho)
Even presently,take the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict for example, almost all the major battles so far in Ukraine took place on the ground.

Yeah, The air force is important no doubt, cos they provide air support from time to time. They are actually there to make the battles softer for the actual troops on the ground. And currently with the advance in weaponry technology, the army on the ground with a push of button can now perform many of the tasks only the air force could perform in the past.

And the Navy, just like the air force, are also only act as a support/back up for the Army. And sometimes little to no use in a landlocked country. (Sorry Navy)

So the army is still the boss if you ask me.
