My mason had 5 As and 3 Bs Almost all centers are special centres. What baffled me was his A in English and Literature. Someone that can't go beyond pidgin English. Jamb is currently the only legit exam. Waec is over rated
Some cannot express themselves in good english but are good in written english. Some people are just taking public schools to be inferior compare to private schools. I am sure many of you here are products of public schools. I still prefer public schools despite the rot in the system.

The Outstanding in Economics is going to be an issue for him if not released. Especially, if he would go for social or management science.

True talk but many are not seeing it that way,for what will be her Business Management or Accounting combination in JAMB?
For unless, some Private Universities, she may have to repeat the essential Economics Subject for a better grade.
Nevertheless, its a good result, considering, she is coming from a Public School backgrounds.

Where are the boys?

I have been following educational excellence of these students and damn! Boys are effectively relegated.

Let's just hope they're focusing on "tech", football, music or whathaveyou. Else sad

You're very correct. I have several instances, I've even lost count, of families, siblings, where the girls are doing better academically than the boys. I don't know why girls outperform the boys. I guess it's because girls are mostly calmer and better listeners in the classroom than boys.

True... There are quite a number of loopholes in these examinations in recent times.

However, please do not put out this comment to downplay the fact that this young lad (displayed by the OP) made good grades from a public secondary school.

..
Atimes I purse to ask if all these result are from the same WAEC body as we use to know n the years past
1. I still need to be convince if the marking system stil the same till now .
2. I saw a few results in my locality that waec still need to convince me about the genuineness of the grades ..Going by the academic standards of affected students .
While we agree on that there were malpractices in past years ,the level today has reached the top ..
We can aswel thank the Technology for it's impact in today's knowledge acquisition ..
By and large ,wishing every successful students best of luck in the next face of life .

My chief, I registered him for the waec so I could later assist him get a job as a junior staff. I registered him for lessons. What I didn't know is he paid for assistance without my knowledge and this was a private school. I am a lecturer and I'm telling you from experience that most students with fantastic waec results tend to have useless jamb scores. And perform under par in the university.
REDshouse:
your mason can have such result in school out of brilliance but no financial capacity to further more with education.

Don't badmouth someone result out of jealousy cos u achieved less during your own time in school...

Moreover I will post her junior waec tomorrow it was also excellent..

My fear for her is that she came from a struggling family who may find it very difficult to further more due to financial issue but I trust God that no matter the situation relief and scholarship will come her way

WAEC is falling in standard if these are the results we have from the children we teach.
80% pass is not true for the current Nigerian children in sec school.
I can defend this anytime.

The only true body of exam taken in Nigeria now is the Cambridge exam.

Even JAMB too is no longer true with the standard of marking as it was applied in the days of Ahmed Salim
